Does the job
Got this for my son as he needed a compass for his Duke of Edinburgh award told me it is a very good piece of equipment well pleased especially as you can put it round your neck via the lanyard definitely recommend

Good, basic trail compass
See through plastic trail compass, it has scale bars along the edge and a magnifying section in the centre, and of course a compass

Orienteering Compasses
I like the compasses as they provide quite a lot of info to you and with the luminous sections are quite easy to use in low light.On the down side they don’t have the 1:50000 scale on them which is a standard scale for OSI Maps in Ireland and the UK.

Doesn't work
I bought this in December, ready for the nicer weather and to get out on the hills. Juts opened it now and its got a huge bubble of air in it. The needle doesn't rotate properly, or sticks. Not sure I could navigate to my living room with it!! Straight in the bin. Get what you pay for I guess. Don't waste your money.
