This large and somewhat flat pillow is among the high-end pillows that stand out in terms of sleep quality, comfort, and support. Mine is supposed to be a queen size but it looks pretty wide when compared to my other queen sized pillows. Now you may be wondering why anyone would spend $130 on a little piece of cloth and foam padding? Well, I will tell you upfront that I am somewhat a pillow snob but that I am also a back sleeper by force of habit since my neck hurts throughout the day if the pillow I used the night before is too hard or too high. I therefore need a pillow that has a lower profile and is still comfortably soft enough to give me a straight night sleep. This pillow fits my needs fairly well. There is a special feature that allows the user to choose to sleep on a firmer side that provides more support, and a softer side that provides more comfort. This is evidenced by the pillow tag that points out which is which, and you might also be able to discern that by touching it. I can kind of feel it when I push on it, but I still have to look at the tag to be sure. It is not the super puffy-type support pillows, and not the hard comfort gel type, but it is made of memory foam, and has special cooling channels throughout the body of the pillow (possibly explaining the reason behind it’s steep price point), keeping the pillow both soft and cool, two attributes that are very much desired when most people are choosing a pillow on which they spend nearly half of their lives with…. Think about it…. Are you worth it? Shouldn’t you spend you hard earned money on something you need to spend a huge fraction of your life laying the most important part of your body on? That said, I have tried other pillows as well. Among the pillow brands I like the most are Coop, Tempurpedic, and this Amerisleep pillow. Now I would have to say I don’t find too much of a difference between the Amerisleep pillow’s comfort and support functions, but it is terrific that the designers thought of that feature. The other pillows lack that option, however my body seems to value support less than comfort, so I prefer my Tempurpedic pillow over the other two. This is especially so, considering the Amerisleep’s seemingly inflated price tag along with my body’s personal preferences. Not that I don’t love this pillow; I totally have no intention of returning it, whatsoever.

The pillow kept me cool while sleeping and gave me an amazing nights sleep, that means a lot with a bad neck!

My husband bought the 6" loft pillow (6ft tall 180 lbs. More slender build) and a year later after I had constant neck pain I broke down and bought the 5" loft (5'4" 190lbs). ZERO regrets. I use both sides depending on my needs. Absolutely recommend. We've had ours for a few years now and they're still amazing. We also have an amerisleep mattress. Both pillows are king sized.

Needed a cooling pillow for the summer as I tend to overheat when I sleep. This pillow was perfect and I can finally get sleep. I’ll follow up in a few months to test the durability and ease of clean long the pillow case.
