Monstrous Book Of Monsters (Jonny Duddle)

My daughter is always asking her dad to tell her stories about monsters, so we bought her this book for Christmas.It's lovely quality, has amazing little details and is chock full of fun 'facts'!! My daughter absolutely loves this book and has to show it off to anyone who will listen.

My children are 7 and 5 and really enjoyed this book. It has super pictures and lots of flaps to open. I’ve bought it as a present for a few of my sons friends too.

My kids loved this book. They found the pops up fascinating. We read during the build up for Halloween but it's great for any monster lovers. My children are 8 and 10.

First of all let me say I was blown away at how beautiful the book is. It has wonderful illustrations, imaginative writing and some really impressive pop up effects.The reason why I couldn't give this book a 5 star review though is that while inspecting the books I had noticed that one of the flaps was accidently glued shut during the manufacturng process. I had managed to carefully pry it open, but as you can see it had left some damage on the book.The other negatives is that there are a few pull out mechanisms that aren't marked as such, but the card is scored in a way to appear to look like a flap instead. I would recommend adults to carefully investigate the book to figure out and loosen all the pop ups first, so kids don't overly damage the sometimes flimsy cardstock while exploring.Otherwise a very charming kids book.

This book kept my son entertained for a long time as he explored every detail of the book in depth. Fantastic and very creative!

I got this book as a gift for 8-year old boy, after we read it in the library and he loved it. Actually his 4-year old brother loved it as well, so I would say that this book is a good fit for the age range 4-8.
