Domin-8 Me! Paperback – April 17, 2007

I was skeptical and unnerved at first to finally break into actually buying one of these manga-eroticas but this one was well worth looking into and purchasing. The story, surprisingly for a hentai which should hold no margin for a story whatsoever from what most people may expect, actually has a REALLY good one! It's a romance-comedy about a young man who blackmails a woman into having relations with him but finds out later she actually likes him. The twist to this is that he's just under five feet tall and his 'playmate' is well over six feet! The eyecandy to this particular visual read is intensely detailed and makes it more worthwhile to look at beyond the already intriguing story. This isn't exactly for the faint of heart; it's not over the top kinky or immensely taboo, it's just that there was alot of stuff in it I wasn't quite used to, still aren't, but it's not like I can argue with the guys who got this published; they at least got it that far along for people like me to actually pick it up and give it a go.The story's hilarious, the illustrations are gorgeously, yet erotically, done and if anyone's looking into breaking the denial of admitting they like to get into these kind of books, this one would be a good one to break it into. All together, a good piece of erotica to have around-- my girlfriend reads this more than I do!

Art is very good for mostly balck-and-white manga; characters odd and interesting, and no blood or fecal matter. There is one sisters incest scene and another scene that infers a post-incestuous- sisters scene, so avoid this book if you find that topic off-putting. Mostly, the plot lines are weaker (nerdier) men dominated by sexually aggressive women. A couple of 3- and 4-some scenes. This book is NOT BDSM. There is a little of that towards the end, but it's just one chapter and only includes two scenes with the same bondage setup both times. Good for people who love hentai, but aren't looking for a love story; who want a little youthful, nostalgic kink fantasy, but are sick of the weird poop stuff. (C'mon Nippon, we're looking at you.)

VERY graphic and outrageous little adventure. I like one called "Milk Mama" better, but this one is quite entertaining as well . These Hentai/Manga stories seem to be geared towards the fantasies of "geek squad" types who are NOT the popular school "stud muffins" in real life, but are dream fantasy Wannabes. In such fantasies a 5'3" geek with coke-bottle glasses will be the primo object of lust by some hottie fox female (in this case a 6'1" tomboy dynamo) . The foxy femme will be a real hottie but the guy will look like a wussy little kid or like what "Arnold" might call a "girlie boy". This is what we have to deal with in "Domin-8-Me". Tomonori is a little dweeb , yet he is depicted as a "hung-like-a-horse" stud and a monster of endurance and hyper-potency. The message is something like "Why would she want Sean Connery when she can have Woody Allen or a member of the Big Bang Theory crew?" LOL!!! A very, very, VERY unlikely scenario---preposterous, even--- but---what the heck! Fantasy is fantasy, right?

I actually had the Japanese version of this on my hard drive for years, and then a fan translated version later. When I saw it was actually published as a book, I figured I'd buy this just for the novelty.The only downside is I wish they kept the original title, "Take On Me." Every time I saw this in my dumb comix folder that song would get stuck in my head. I figure they couldn't get the rights to that as a title though, whatever. The localized title, Domin8 Me, is dumb, and doesn't really relate to the story anyway. Essentially, what "story" there is here (which isn't a whole lot) is about a young nerdy guy in school who finds out the sexy aloof tall girl is a secret slut, so they start banging and fall in love, and it's actually kind of romantic (you know, for a Japanese porn comic).It's got really decent art and it's hot, that's kind of all that's important.

The purpose of erotic depiction concerns the psyche as well as organic bodily drives. Whether photographic, illustration-by-hand, fetish, CGI or brutal narrative (with or without visual accompaniment), erotic portrayal of a story and portrayal of the erotic serve to entice the libido towards external objects of desire as well as to reveal to the passive observer and actively participating reader alike aspects of the sex impulse that may not always be obvious. For some, a mere whisper is an adequate medium, others requiring a depth of panel-by-panel visual development and printed word to bring out arousal as psychic derangement common to many. Such is especially the case when an illustrator/writer excites the latent or already active voyeurism present in the audience; humor melded in, fueling the activity and rendering it all the more urgent. That said, Takemura, fulfills the tasks of artist and eroticist very well. The world-focused-on-sex present in the pages of Domin-8-Me! wanders through the psychologically compressed panicky world of sexual preoccupation and its anatomical and mechanical details: rigidly throbbing veined penises, airborne semen, females' beckoning and sucking mouths, heaving breasts and bare but engaging nipples too, dripping wet vaginas and tempting lubed anuses; all that alternating in an emotively charged feeding frenzy mixing depression and ecstasy. Takemura does not disappoint and for some these tomes could be well-inspired collectors' items. On the other hand, if you're not all that obsessed, then just buy a cheap, suspiciously splatter-marked and tattered copy, read it and pass it on.

Habe mir den Manga gekauft weils unzensiert war+.Story ist simpel aber trotzdem gut+.Sehr gut gezeichnet mein Top Favorit unter den Mangas+.^^Einfach nur genial, ist kein Hardcore aber das ist ja geschmackssache.Hab schon gehört es gibt einen 2ten Teil.Hoffe der Kommt endlich mal im Taschenbuchformat.Den Manga kann ich nur empfehlen...Will teil 2 haben XD

Pros:great artwork, and amusing storyCons:the sequel will most likely never be released.Other Thoughts:the story follows the secret relationship of tomonori tsuda and hikaru ohno from its humble consenting blackmail origins (you'll understand if you read the manga) through the interference of hikaru's annoying and inexperienced sister and the trials and challenges of hikaru's unwanted but determined rival.this manga is glorious, the artwork is brilliant, the story goes from strength to strength, and the characters are cool.i highly recomend it it has a little something for everyone.my only problem is that the sequel will never be released but for a reason i can understand.but don't be alarmed this manga is a stand alone manga the sequel is mainly about new characters.

One of the first hentai I've read and decided to now get it in book form. Quality is good and it's completely uncensored. The book itself has very good art and adult scenes, this is by far one of the best hentai artists out there. I can strongly recommend this book to anyone.

Captions are translated into english - but the layout is pure japanese. Luckily this is explained in the book - the story travels from the back to the front and in a circular way on the page.The story concerns a (suprisingly adult) schoolgirl, her juvenile looking older sister, her schoolboy lover, her (soon to be dominated) rival, her rivals lover and a (female)teacher who loves to be humiliated. Strangely a page from a samurai story arrives mid story - maybe this is the japanese equivalent of 'the train going into the tunnel' in films?The juvenile looking older sister - and her problems with boys/men - handles cleverly the childish look of her in the sex scenes.
