San-x Sumikko Gurashi Super Squishy Plush 6" Polar-bear

When I came across this, it didn't have many reviews, so I decided to take the risk and buy it. So, when this arrived in the mail, I was more than excited to open it. It is very soft, squishy, and the perfect size for travel and decoration. It looks just like the bear LaurDIY has. Overall it is just INSANELY CUTE!! good product!edit: bought this in November 2016. fast forward to July 2017 and the plushie is still super soft, but did not maintain its snowy white color, probably due to the amount of times it has been dropped, cuddled with, and played with excessively.

I hate this!!! This is NOT what I ordered. I was trying to get a stuffy like Laurdiy had and this is not it. First of all, it had blush on the cheeks, pointed ears, it did not squish down like it was supposed to, and there is a weird clump of beads in the back. For 30 days I was waiting excitedly and it was a real disappointment to get this. I did order another stuffy from the family and it came in 2 days and looked exactly the way I was expecting it to. I found out that the 'beads' in the back are actually silicone to 'absorb moisture'. Absolutely would NOT recommend!!

Cute little cuddly polar bear for my girlfriend. Has amazing build quality and is made from amazing soft fur. Also is very cute, would totally love to buy again.

I love these San-X stuffies!!! But the ones I received are completely different! Here’s the story.It was my birthday a while ago and I have gotten a 130$ gift card for amazon! I was super excited and started to look on Amazon for some things that I wanted that weren’t in the stores near me. Then, I had found the San-X Sumikko Gurashi’s that we’re not sold near me and, I had only ever ordered them in Amazon. Every time the Sumikko Gurashi’s arrived at my home, I was pleased with the results. So I figured this would be the same. I had waited so excited for many many weeks. Since my Birthday is in August, I was losing hope 😂. Then, they had arrived today!!! I was soooo excited!!! I immediately ran home from my mail box and ripped that baby open!!! When I opened the bag, I saw 3 adorable San-x plushies! The first one I saw was, “Penguin?”. I had thought he wasn’t going to come until later. So I got homeboy out and roped the bag open for the 2nd time. When I got home out he had the same feel as the others I had ordered, I was pleased. Then I realized there were beads in the back of him near his behind. And I had thought, “Well, that’s strange” and then I put him on my table and got out the next one. It was Shirokuma!!! He was the main one I wanted when I first saw the San-X Sumikko Gurashi line. Immediately I noticed something different about that little guy. He had blushed cheeks which isn’t like the regular one. He also felt like the others but he had the beads on the behind, and bigger size as well. Then I ignored that and got out my next one. It was Tokage. Still, without even opening I knew he would have the beads and different size. And he did... but also, the felt that is on him that looks like the fried shrimp, Shippo, or something, it was the exact same but Tonkatsu’s seemed fake. The texture was a little more silky but had the same appearance as Shippo. They were all bigger then described on the description, all had the beads, and in some way all looked like the were copied. I still absolutely love these off brand Sumikko’s but I’m a bit upset they claimed to be the same. Then I had cut the tags off and they were torn and the font and picture was faint. Plus, within the tags of all of them have their own little illustrations and description. All of them had Tokage’s illustraton and description. Lastly I looked back online on all of the stuffed animals I ordered and they were all from off brand companies 2-3 were from here and the other 1-2 (one hasn’t come yet) were from somewhere else. I still love these but I’m sad that they aren’t like my others or as described.

I keep having to buy these things! Every time my daughter's friends see hers they all love it and when their birthday comes around she gives them one of their own. They are really cute, small enough to take on a sleepover without being noticed if necessary but cute and cool enough to be envied too. Ridiculously soft! In my experience good for any age, my daughter loves hers in middle school, know adults that love them, even freshman boys, but don't tell anyone. Shipping is from Japan the seller was very good but it still takes a couple of weeks so order early if you need it for Christmas or a birthday.

I bought this for my mom just because I love her, and I know she really enjoys these certain types of stuffed animals. It definitely lives up to it's name as "super squishy", but from my experience, it doesn't stay too squishy after playing with it for a couple months. Don't get my wrong, it's still pretty squishy, but it's firmness starts to dissipate over time. I believe this is most likely due to the overuse of playing with it (which is what my mom did because she loved it so much lol). So my assumption is, if you take a break from playing with it for about a week or two, it should revert back to it's normal firmness. Nevertheless, it is absolutely adorable and very fun to play with. Even if you're not too crazy about it being super squishy, it's still a cute little thing to have around for your kids or any of your family.
