Getting the device set up after charging it took a little longer than I expected, because I got stuck on a "please wait" message for about ten minutes. I had to clear the cache in the app and try it again to get it to connect properly.I like how wide the video actually is; it picks up a wider area than I was expecting, which is nice. The motion detection seems to work fine. It does take sometimes up to thirty seconds for the video to show up on my Echo Show, and you can't use the two-way audio with Alexa (which is a bit disappointing, and the primary reason for knocking off a star). I don't have a microSD card yet to test out the local storage, but I'll be doing that soon, as the local storage ability was one of the selling points of this camera; I want my recordings on my own server, not kept in the cloud, so I appreciate SpotCam allowing me to have that control over my footage.So far, it seems to be a decent camera. It is easy to remove the camera from its base, so that might be something to consider if you live in a not-so-great area. The area that I live in (and the fact that the camera is not visible from the street), I'm not too worried about it being stolen in my own circumstance. I just received it today, so I've got some time to work out kinks and figure out how to use it efficiently. I'll update at a later date once I've had a chance to really put it to work!

easy to setup, with a good array of features, support amazon and google features, price is reasonable

I had been bothered by not having a doorbell for so long.I always missed my delivery while showering or being busy because I could barely hear the knocking.Finally, I found this on Amazon. There are so many products nowadays were made in China with poor quality, not for this one. It looks like high-end electronics but at reasonable price.The Bluetooth setup only took me 5 minutes (including reading the instruction). Amazingly easy and convenient !So far the product fulfills my needs, 180-degree angle provides comprehensive security at the door, and the chime speaker is really cute. I can also select my favourite ringtone and adjust the volume all according to my preference.I highly recommend this product to everyone!!

It is simple to set up (if you're not a moron) and works flawlessly...even motion detection (for those naysayers, try adjusting your settings). What can I say apart from it is a fantastic product and for this price you can't go wrong. And for £2.50 a month for cloud storage of video recordings I don't have an issue...if only everything was this cheap

I have several SPOTCAM cameras and like the free (limited) monitoring and the quality is OK, not 4K but good, I thought this camera, by the write-up, would have free monitoring, well it does not, it will read the SD card in the camera but no free cloud recording as they imply. So if someone takes the camera off the door. there is no recording of the theft. 2) The camera is too easy to remove, a theif can just lift it out of the cradle on the door and away goes your expensive camera... 3) Battery life is low, If you turn off all record features and only have it record when the button is pushed, you get about 1 week and you need to bring it in for a 4 hour recharge, (SUMMER) 3 days in the winter and it has to come up to room temp to charge. (Lithium batteries are damaged if charged below freezing) So I am disappointed that mainly there is no free cloud recording like all of the other cameras, even 24hrs would be better than nothing. The last thing I want is another monthly bill so time to look for another camera. One that could stream into my current home security system or home cloud storage would be nice.

The doorbell side of things works well, has a good strong ring, and once set up correctly sends a message to you phone, with an image of caller. The supporting app is not easy to use, and is not responsive. The bell also doesn't seem to connect to the home wifi particularly well, and there is a frequent message when opening app "network busy" meaning you have to repeatedly try to connect until successful.On a positive note, it works OK for a bottom of the range wifi doorbell, the app side of things seems to let it down.
