Our kreepy krawlerl clasp broke so we ordered a new one through Walmart. When it arrived, the handle mechanism didn’t work correctly. It would not stay closed.This one was the next we ordered and solved the problem.It’s a little difficult to open, BUT it’s the best design being it twists, then clasps.We also like there isn’t a mesh bag to deal with. The fact that it’s clear was another plus, being able to see when it needs to be emptied.All in all, we feel like it has been the best substitute for the original product, not to mention the best price!

Exact replacement for the Pentar and Hayward large canisters I had before. The handle broke on my Hayward and I couldn't see through the Pentair. It was cloudy. Quality seems to be very good. No adapters required. Reviewers that said it wouldn't fit may have had their cleaner hoses reversed. I agree it is difficult to open. Wish I could find some silicone grease that isn't so sticky.

It captures most of the leaves the pool cleaner picks up. A few still make it to the pump skimmer. The lid is very difficult to remove.

Got here on time

It is sooooo hard to twist the lid to open it. The rubber o-ring sealing the lid slowly stretched out over time, just 2-3 months, so that it became very hard to put it back together w/out the o-ring partly popping out. After 5 months the o-ring is too stretched out to fit at all, and a piece of the rails that hold the lid on has broken. Hence, it now just sucks air unless I weight it down to keep it underwater.I think the broken piece and stretching o-ring are due to the super tight fit that makes the lid so hard to remove.

Purchased approx. 2 years ago:1) inter-basic self destructed - the top lip broke up2) seal ring stretched out and was not usable3) For the whole time: I needed my largest channel locks to open due to rocks from pebbletek getting into the opening and jamming it up.Note, this does fit my 1 1/2" tubes (Vingli mfg), both the inlet and outlet sides.Will be looking for a different brand as a replacement.

Does what it's supposed to, and does it well. The only reason I gave such a low rating is because it's impossible to open. I have tried several times, and have had several others try as well, but with no success. I need to take it out of the pool and use a stick to get all of the leaves and twigs out of it. We're supposed to be able to unscrew the lid and empty the basket easily. That is far from the case given I've still not been able to unscrew the lid ever.
