Well made. Does what it was designed to do.
The worx products seem to be well made and I love that they all use the same batteries.Pros:● Well made.● Uses the standard Worx 20v batteries.● Batteries are fast charging, around a hour.● Has the power to cut through tall grass and weeds. Has the power to use many attachments.● Very easy and quick to switch attachments.● Accept universal attachments. So if an attachment says it has a universal attachments shaft, it will work on this trimmer.Cons:● Heavy. The two 20 volt batteries make the weed trimmer heavy to carry around.● The supplied shoulder strap is totally useless. With the weight of this trimmer, the single shoulder strap digs into your shoulder within a few minutes. I highly recommend using a full body harness/double shoulder strap with this trimmer. After the first use, I orders a full upper body weed trimmer harness. That solved the problem. With a full upper body harness (around $20 on Amazon) it does not feel like I am carrying anything around now. This trimmer should have come with a much better support strap/harness.● Poor battery life. The two 20 volt 4.0Ah batteries only get about 40 minutes of use. For small yards this might be fine. My house sits on1.25 acres. The battery life is not long enough to trim around the fence line, around the house, plants, trees, etc. I had a set of 6.0Ah batteries sitting around. This trimmer get about 90 minutes of use out of them. So using the set of 4.0Ah batteries that came with the trimmer and the set of 6.0Ah batteries I had, I get almost two hours of working time. Running time solved.Using a full body harness to carry this trimmer around and having an extra set of batteries, this trimmer works great. I have since purchased several attachments for this trimmer since it accepts any accessory that uses/accept universal attachments. (Attachments I have and use with this trimmer: string weed cutter, edge cutter, universal brush cutter, pole chainsaw, and cultivator attachment).I know, with the size of my yard, I should be using a gas powered trimmer. I just hate all the extra problems and work that goes along with small gas powered engines such as oil in the gas, running out of that two cycle oil. Needing to drain and flush the gas - winterizing it each Fall. Replacing the oil, then needing to take the old oil to a auto parts store to properly dispose of it. Then the issue of getting small gas powered engine running again each Spring.Would I recommend this Worx trimmer, YES. I have no regrets. I did buy a few attachments for it. Just know, you might want to at least get a better shoulder harness. As far as the batteries, that depends on the size of yard you have and the amount of time it takes you to do the trimming. Or maybe your fine waiting about an hour for the batteries to recharge.Because I could over come the short comings of this trimmer, very easily and quickly, and it does out perform any other battery or electric trimmer I have owned over the years. I had to give it 5 stars. If for nothing else, how well it actually does what it was designed to do, and much more.

Worx for me... and I like it a lot
For starters, I got to know the Worx brand, thanks to Costco. At one point, a Black and Decker cordless drill had malfunctioned, so I bought one that they sell on sale at Costco. It seemed to me to be of quite good construction and I loved that the battery lasted much longer than that of the other drill. That was around 2017. And yes, I still have the batteries and they work perfectly.Due to the pandemic, I have to stay home longer, and I decide to take care of the garden myself. I don't live in the USA, but in Costa Rica, a country with a tropical climate, so the garden tools I had to buy were for weekly use (here everything grows very quickly in the rainy season, which is 6-7 months a year) , and that the purchase would not leave my wallet at zero, since all this had to be brought via courier from the USA, so the final price for me is much higher than the purchase on Amazon, since I have to include freight and formalities. This led me to Worx. I remembered the different tools that I bought after that brand, and that they all operate with the same batteries, and when I noticed that they had a 20V and 40V system, but using the same batteries that I already have, it seemed to me that it was a good alternative.About this trimmer. Power. That's the key word. It really is a mower with plenty of power to do multiple jobs in the garden. In my case, I use it to cut weeds that grow on the outside of the property, which is quite thick. I also used it successfully to keep short a series of cane shoots that come out on my property every time the rainy season starts. I also used it in the lawn area, where I have two different types of grass, and one tends to grow faster, so instead of mowing, I just trimmed the overhanging grass and that has allowed me to have the grass at a similar height and allow it to repopulate, since I don't usually irrigate it with water in the summer, so it fills up in patches, which fill up as the rainy season progresses. What would you change? First of all, bring a shoulder support, since the equipment is quite light for power, but it is still tiresome to use it for 1 hour using only your hands. The second, the 4A batteries should be replaced by 5A ones, since they wear out quite quickly. The last thing, the operation button, should have a way to set a stop, at least in my case it would be very useful, since I use this equipment near plants that are delicate, so I can not use the power stop or it could cut things that I don't want to cut, and I have to put one of my fingers under the button to avoid increasing the power while using it. Likewise, the ECO button works, but it is annoying that it automatically disconnects after a few minutes that one does not use the equipment.A curious fact is that the line it comes with is a 0.0905", which is supposed to be for medium to heavy use and very efficient. And I can say that it is, but to try, I used two lines that I already had on my property. First, it's a 0.101" round line, which is thicker. I can say that this did not work as I expected, since it does cut, but the cut is not fluid at all and it feels like it works harder to cut. The only positive thing is the line itself is more resistant to breaking. But not by much. The other is a 0.080" square cut one. This one, despite what I thought, since I used it on another piece of equipment and it didn't give me very good results, it turned out to be even better than the original they recommend. It not only allows cuts at low or high speed, but it feels like it cuts much better, with cleaner cuts. I tried it with the cane shoots, and all those that I couldn't cut with the other 2 lines (they broke them, but they didn't cut them), with this other one, I cut them without problem. This is important to take into account, since the line not only determines the type of cut, but also helps to improve the performance of the battery, since it can be cut using less speed, which extends the duration.Would you recommend it? Without a doubt, to the point that I plan to buy other accessories that this base supports.

Lots of power
More power than expected. Run time is great. Have a small yard and only used one bar. Would recommend to anyone looking for a battery powered grass trimmer
