Life Extension Melatonin 500 mcg Sleep & Cellular Health Support – Gluten-Free – Non-GMO – 200 Vegetarian Capsules

I recently switched to working a rotating shift. These pills have been extremely helpful in not only helping me fall asleep but in helping me stay asleep when I'm on night shift and was previously unable to sleep past 2pm. Despite this product helping me stay asleep, it does not hinder my waking up when the alarm rings. I wake up much more rested than before as well, and my sleep tracking app shows a clear correlation between taking this product and getting better REM sleep.I take one pill about 45 minutes before I plan to fall asleep.

It is melatonin, it works fine. It comes in an enormous bottle less than 1/3 of the way full, a pet peeve of mine. Is the intention to be misleading or simply wasteful? I ordered 200 pills, so I know there will be 200 pills, but will I not feel like I got my money's worth if it doesn't come in an industrial-sized bottle? I just don't know why nothing can be simple. Why a big gel cap with mostly filler, when a tiny tablet would do the same? Just annoying.

I have had weird dreams from melatonin the few times I’ve taken it, probably in the 3mg size. But this 500mcg size seems to be perfect for me. I have had 3 months of uninterrupted sleep. Glad I tried it.

My San Diego sleep neurologist recommended a 500 Mcg dose, and Life Extension was the only product I could find at that dose and with vegetarian capsules. Free advice? He also recommended ferritin iron (if you need iron) and vitamin B12. I was surprised that the dose of melatonin is so small!
