Für Audio-Ripping mit dem MacBookPro M1
Ich suchte ein CD/DVD Laufwerk für das neue MacBookPro M1. Das Apple eigene funktioniert nicht. Zwei weitere Laufwerke verweigerten das Digitalisieren von Audio CDs. Der Fehler liegt in der Stromversorgung. Also recherchierte ich im Internet und fand dieses hier.Bisher habe ich eine Vielzahl von Audio CDs digitalisiert. Ohne Probleme !! Von daher für mich eine klare Kaufempfehlung. Der Geräuschpegel ist super, das Design klasse, die Schublade wertig. Keine Kritikpunkte.

Installation problem
When I first plugged this in to my brand new 2 day old M 1 MacBook Pro it did not open or do anything's I checked it out next on my iMac 27 inch and it worked straight away !, so then went back to my laptop and it worked OK.I don't know if this Lazarus spring to life might be something to do with changing A to C plug adapters anyway this device seems to be as good as my outboard Mac superdrive, so I would recommend it as cheap alternative plus the bonus of an open tray allows you to import all those old small 3 inch cd singles easily.

Very satisfied with this External USB drive for MacPro
Purchased this USB drive recently. Arrived before scheduled time with no problems. The drive was very well packaged for delivery transport. This drive is compact in size and comes with its own case for protection when not in use. The drive was plugged in with its own attached cord and did exactly what was expected. Love this USB drive for my MacPro and it works great. The price is also amazing and it comes with a two year warranty. The company was in touch post delivery to ensure all was well and we were happy with purchase. Amaing service!

Worked great for 100+ CD collection on 2018 Macbook Pro
Used this to back up copies of 100+ CDs. It had issues reading two CDs that got a little too fancy with the CD art, and would occasionally become unresponsive and had to be disconnected and plugged back in, but generally pretty good. Can't complain for the price point.The art on the unit itself is kinda weird, though.

Won't read some CD's!
I bought this item because I wanted a slot loading player not a tray-loading player. That is my fault for not looking at the photos and specs more closely but it was still disappointing.More important though, is that it fails to read certain CD's which the Apple player it is replacing, never did. I have not tried it with DVD's yet.
