Good Value for the Money
I honestly didn't read the instructions, but this is pretty intuitive to use. The potato slides on the metal skewer, the little plastic handle slides on with the auger (digger) next to the potato and as you screw the auger down into the potato, it eventually starts slicing the potato with the blade/handle. It wasn't hard, it did work, but the more you flex the potato or the handle, you might impact the depth of the cut and the symmetry of the slices. Just try not to push too hard on either the handle or the potato. I tried a red potato and an Idaho potato baked at 400 degrees in the oven, sprayed with "I can't believe it's not Butter," and sprinkled with Old Bay. I think it left a little to be desired but was edible. I wanted a healthier version of a tasty snack so I will just have to play with how I cook and season it. As for folks who complained about the potato not being able to be fried because it wouldn't stay on the skewer (the auger does make a hole through the middle) then just pull the skewer out and stick it in a new hole slightly away from the first hole. I am sure it will work, even though I didn't fry mine. It's not PERFECT, but it takes up only a tiny bit of space in my kitchen (unlike some fancier models) and it costs less. I am happy with it after trying it.

Cheap but good
Works well for a price! Now I have to figure it out how to cook the potatoes 😂

Not as easy as it seems
It was difficult to get the potatoes on correctly and then it takes just the right amount of pressure to get the spiral cut
