My old dongle went out. Bought this one expecting similar functionality.Gave my car full wireless carplay/android functionality. No wires. Works every time.Pretty select/niece market, but I cannot recommend this enoughI have a pumpkin android infotainment system. Originally came with non wireless dongle. Broke and replaced with this!!The partner app is Autokit I believe.

The adapter worked great just once but after first time working, it stopped working at all. It does not connect wirelessly at all. It keeps saying connecting but does not connect at all. I don’t know if I have a faulty product but this is not what I was expecting at this price range.

Compré una camioneta 0km BYD SONG en Uruguay hace 6 meses, a fines de 2021. Según el distribuidor oficial de la marca por un error en el pedido vinieron sin GPS, si bien la pantalla tiene muchas funcionalidades, el hecho de no tener GPS restringe la utilidad de la misma y claramente no asiste de forma completa al conductor. Investigando un poco si con este producto que sin dudas resolvió el problema con creces. Ahora no solamente puedo utilizar MAPS (iOS), Google MAPS o WAZE sino que además puedo seleccionar lista de reproducción de Spotify o TuneIn Radio. Una maravilla. Les recomiendo el modelo que se vincula por wifi o Bluetooth, lo hace solo y es automático.

The adapter worked for a solid three months however had an audio delay in switching the songs and watching videos. That may have been my phones fault, I don’t know, as looking through some reviews, some people had it and some didn’t. Just today the adapter stopped working and now I can connect to CarPlay but the audio plays through my phone. I’ve narrowed down the issue and the Bluetooth of the adapter broke so it connects to CarPlay but not the Bluetooth signal for the audio. Super frustrating.

I am using the AutoKit CarPlay Wireless dongle with a 2018 Fire Tablet 8 HD in my 2013 Acura RDX base model. I am unable to swap out the head unit for an aftermarket head unit with CarPlay or Android auto already installed.Software: I had no problems installing the software on the tablet. I followed the instructions that came with the unit. I plug in the dongle to the tablet using an OTG cable. It takes a few seconds to connect to my iPhone 11 wirelessly.Audio: I use the phone’s Bluetooth to play audio to my vehicle’s audio system. I tried using the vehicle’s dock connector for audio because I feel it has a richer sound than Bluetooth audio. Unfortunately, the audio defaults back to the CarPlay audio (tablet audio in my case), EVERY song change. I gave up and just use the Bluetooth. I do leave my phone connected to the dock for charging. You do have to change the phone’s audio source to Bluetooth every time the car cuts on. It does not do it automatically.Tablet Charging: I have been unsuccessful in finding a dual OTG cable that will allow the tablet to charge at the same time I am using the carlinkit dongle. The ones I tried so far are only powerful enough to charge a streaming stick. For now I charge the tablet at home or work in between uses.Tablet Mount: I purchased a cd mount here on Amazon to hold my tablet. It blocks my volume dial but that is okay since I can use my steering wheel controls for volume and changing to the next song. I originally tried a dash mount but the tablet kept falling along with the mount. The dongle is secured to the back of the tablet’s case using command strips.Is this a perfect solution? No. But it works for now until I buy another vehicle. I am glad I came across this product. CarPlay makes it much easier to switch between podcast, audio book, music and navigation apps. I love the consistent landscape orientation. This product allows me still have some of the CarPlay experience. Taking the tablet out of the mount for charging is no different than removing my phone from the mount if I wasn’t using this device.

I got it today and could not wait a minute to install it. I got a security warning when I installed the AutoCar APK but I trusted the provider and then everything was fairly smooth.Hope it continues to amaze me wirelessly without any glitch.I noticed it stops the audio of the main system once the app runs but my other car with built-in CarPlay, the main audio continues even after using CarPlay and it just interrupts as needed which I am more used to it.After few weeks, it keeps disconnecting which means it keeps saying searching for the product(which is connected to the Android head-unit by USB) so basically it is not working most of the time. I contacted their support for firmware updates or help few times with no response at all. this is a great product(idea) if it works! seller, please contact me as I really like your product to work for me and everyone out there.

Wireless function is a bit finicky but it works great for the price point to add the carplay to android units that don't already have it built in.

Pretty disappointed as i really wanted to enjoy this device.It works perfectly wired, but doesn't work at all wirelessly even though everything said it should.I'm not the only one reporting this issue, if you have a android phone know that it might not work wirelessly.

Se instala fácilmente si problema y no se tarda uno en hacerlo. El problema es que se desconecta en ocasiones, pero no tienes que hacer nada. Solo se vuelve a re conectar. Ventaja es que es inhalámbrico.

No se si le sirva esta reseña alguien. pero me di cuenta que no se puede conectar a pantallas originales de los vehículos, no sirvió en mi Corolla 2022, entonces lo regresare, supongo que debe de servir muy bien en otras pantallas con Android System. 2 estrellas mi calificación para quien intente comprarlo por el mismo motivo que yo y noten
