Warning: they claim to use YKK zippers, but actually are no-name Chinese zippers
As you can see in the attached pic, these zippers don't say "YKK" - in fact, they say nothing at all. Now, using no-name Chinese zippers wouldn't ordinarily be a deal-breaker, not unless they product manufacturer stated something like this: "Equipped with high quality YKK zippers with nylon pulls that are rust resistant and tough." Oops.If you are a discerning buyer, you may already be aware that high-end products almost invariably use YKK zippers. You are almost certainly already aware that zippers on a backpack are far and away the most likely failure points, and that failed zippers absolutely ruin a piece of gear.And so in the end, it's not only the much more dubious longevity of these no-name zippers that is making me return this product, but the fact that Orca Tactical appears to be making false claims about it on the front page **EDIT 7/14/18: It looks like the description has been corrected, which is appreciated. I do still have my doubts about these zippers as far as longevity, but only time will tell. I hope it lasts a long time, because I do actually like the backpack.**

Very poor quality. Came apart at the seams.
Well I loved this bag at the beginning, but the quality of the manufacturing and sewing is really bad and it began to show very quickly. Within a month of light use, the seam at the top began to rip and once it ripped, the material continued to come apart, and the seam continued to rip all the way along. So now the top is completely open. I asked a seamstress what they thought was going on and they said the makers did not leave enough material past the seam for it to stay securely seamed. And their prediction was that the seam would continue to pull apart until the entire bag was undone. Besides that, the other day the metal hook on the zipper decided to somehow get wide or loose, and the paracord loop came right off of the zipper as i was zipping it up. There is now a gap in the zipper big enough where the paracord will always fall out, so that zipper is now useless. I need to just buy another bag now, this one is useless. Can't close the main compartment and can't close/reopen the main pocket. Very sad because I don't use it on rough hikes, I just use it to take gym clothes back and forth for changing. Overall, not tough or rugged at all. Pretty weak. Would like a refund.

The only backpack that you will need to buy
I LOVE this bag. Holds lots of anything that you may need to carry and if u can’t get it in the bag there is plenty of Molle webbing all around it to attach anything. The molle webbing runs along both side of the bag from top to bottom and enough to get 2 and maybe 3 packs depending on the size. Hydration pouch is trying and has a covered through hole to pass a tube through. The large compartment has a nice laptop case that holds a 17.3 inch laptop with room to spare. Could probably put in a larger one if needed. There is also another pouch that goes half way down the compartment that holds lots. The second compartment is a little smaller but still large. The 2 front pockets are also large and strong. The top one is great for assorted pens and what nots or to hold a pair of sunglasses. The bottom pocket has small pockets to help keep organized. There are 2 straps on the bottom that can hold things like a tripod or a jacket. The only downfall and really this is a small thing but helpful is there is no Y strap on the front like other bags to help keep items strap things down. If u needed to I would definitely buy another one of thee bags in the future.

Great company, Could be great backpack
I used this backpack for a good 6 months in 2018. Great design. Plenty of space to hold everything I could take on a weekend trip. Very comfortable and the straps supported the weight well. had no complaints. On Month 7, the main compartment zipper failed on me. I was bummed. So, I stopped using the back and it just sat around for a long while in my closest. I recently went to order another pack to replace it, and was on the fence about getting another Orca, and in fact, had ordered a pack from a different company, when by chance I saw that Orca had a limited lifetime guarantee. I don't normally pay much attention to these things, but for the hell of it, I wrote the company and heard back from the owner within a couple of hours on a Sunday night! He offered to replace the entire backpack for me. Now, how often to we see that with something we buy on Amazon?? He has a customer for life! {update 1/30/20 = My replacement backpack, which was great for about 4-5 months, now has a left shoulder strap that's ripping out of the body unfortunately. Don't know how much longer it will last. Have contacted customer service}
