This product is very strong and very well made and was just what I had been looking for. I was able to use a five pound hammer with a block of 2 X 4 to drive it down securely into hard clay soil. I use it with a set of male/female hose quick-connects to provide a hook up for a drip irrigation system for a remote area of landscaping that I only need to water during long dry periods in the weather. Once set up, I just pull a long garden hose out to it, connect, and turn the water on, metered by a water-flow type timer. The pressure regulator and drip system are hooked up to the other side of this extender. Works great and will last a long, long time.

This is a simple product. A stake, a hose bib connection and a small valve to turn it on and off. They couldn't even get that right. Worked great ... at first. After less than a month the valve is spraying water everywhere. I had to turn the water off at the house and if I have to do that, what's the point of this product? Keep looking for one that's better built.

Quality made product. Faucet is quality brass.. I installed by digging 8” hole placing bib extender in holeAnd adding 3” of cement in hole around bib extender post.. replaced dirt and bib extender is solid does not rock or move. The bib extender does not leak. I would recommend to anyone looking to extend their outdoor faucet.

Leaky connection.

The description HBE-6 would indicate to me that a 6 ft hose would be included with the order. I did not get a hose. Purchased a hose to hook the Butler up and it leaks at the connection point. Defeats the need to buy it. I still have to bend down behind a bush to cut it off because it leaks. I bought two of the units so it means 100% defective. Wish I had read the reviews before I bought these items. $60 down the drain. Would not go through the hassle of returning. I should put a minus one star.

This is exactly what I needed. The spigot on the house I'm renting is too close to the ground and hard to get at. This extender makes it so much easier for me to use, plus I can now fit my timer on the spigot, so I don't have to remember to turn on the sprinkler for the garden!

The product itself is made up of very sturdy material/parts. My issue is that I bought 2 of these and one worked perfectly. The second one, however, was leaking at the spigot. I tried tightening it 1/8 turn, but still leaked. Unscrewed it, replaced the plumbers tape, reinstalled the spigot and still leaked. Tried using one of my spigots after replacing the plumbers tape again. My spigot also leaked. Torqued it so much I cracked my spigot. Pulled it off and noticed that where they welded the male connector to the post, they got weld on the threads (see picture). This should have been caught during their quality control inspection, if they even bother to have QC.Anyway, a 50% success rate with this product actually working is not what I expected. I can't return it because I live in SW Florida with sandy soil and to anchor a post like this requires a concrete base, which this post now has around it. After the dust settled, I am out the cost of this product, one of Home Depot's buckets, a 50 lb bag of Quickcrete, my spigot which cracked and about an hour of time both at Home Depot and trying to fix the leak.Too bad. The components are quality parts, but the manufacturing process and QC, not so much.F. Hayse

Not as sophisticated as its big brother but it certainly does the job. Both products are very well made. There are no leaks, no drips, no plastic to become brittle and snap. This is a worthwhile tool and may well save you from summer watering madness.
