OK - yes, the listed diameter is incorrect! C'mon. It's roughly 4.5" folks. Get it right. 4 stars - BAM.I grew up playing with a slinky just like this over 25 years ago. Hasn't changed. It does go down stairs, you just have a give it a little momentum and ensure the stairs are not too wide. Common sense. Figure it out. Not everything in life will be figured out for you.Works just as expected. And these slinkies are much harder to tangle than the metal ones so I'm really not sure what the heck people are trying to do with these.That's all.Kid's satisfied and it didn't break the bank.

Great price, size, and stair slinking ability!
This slinky is a gigantic size with really bright vibrant rainbow colors! I loved it! It is very durable and the plastic quality felt very good. It was very functional and was able to slink its way down the stairs! The price was great for under 5 dollars, would make a great stocking stuffer for kids! Very fun and easy for kids to use.

I don’t normally write reviews but this slinky is worth it. I bought it 2 years ago and it has miraculously withstood 2 toddlers and still look exactly how I bought it.
