Portable power supply for my mobile phone while receiving RAW images from my DSLR.
First thoughts:ProsPortable solution to mount a Nano battery for my kit.Belt clip for connection to my belt, pocket or backpack strapping.Nano V-mount adapter that holds 5-Pin Nano D-Tap batteries.Good secure lock with the battery.ConsNothing of note so far.I don’t actually use this particular V-mount for powering my camera equipment because if I hang it on my belt I often forget that it’s connected to my camera and end up yanking it out of my pocket or snagging the camera when I move further than my D-Tap cables allow. Instead I clip it to my pocket and power my mobile phone which receives NEF/RAW images from my camera and saves them to my cloud storage as I shoot. Due to the file size and constant connection this process usually burns through my phone battery very quickly so the combination of a handy Nano mount and high capacity Nano battery clipped to me is incredibly useful.Details and things to note (See pictures):5-Pin Nano V-mount adapter for Nano D-Tap batteries, a V-mount release button and a D-Tap output port on the side.Metal belt clip on the rear of the V-mount. The clip is strong enough to open and return under flexing and holds fairly tight on the entrance to my trouser pockets or on a belt.Final thoughts:I have a range of these adapters for different studio scenarios and I find them incredibly useful (some more than others), but it makes swapping in and out Nano D-Tap batteries an easier process. The addition of the belt clip on this one makes powering my mobile for use as a picture bridge. a convenient way to keep my device on me while powering it with a high capacity battery in a fairly small package.I’d happily recommend this to studio and location photographers as well as Vloggers to power their equipment on the go. The advice I’d give is to remember that if you’re cabling the battery to a device you’re likely to set down, be careful when walking away from it with a connected cable as this could result in pulling your equipment onto the floor.

Useful belt clip for Nano batteries
This is a great product for clipping onto your belt if you want to separate your battery from the camera, if you are spending a lot of time doing shots it can get too heavy and this solves that issue for me.It has a hook that can easily be mounted on to a belt and allows it to hold securely when moving about. The mount has a nice compact size of 88.5 x 62 x x35mm and only weight 110g.The multiple power outlets from the battery mounting plate allows you to use the battery with the mounting plate and provides power to multiple devices at once which is excellent.Overall, although this is a little pricey it works well with my Nano batteries and is good quality.

This is what I have been looking for!
Owning a z cam and wanting to use V mounts on it has been a possibility... but a clunky one since all v mount plates are tall and made of plastic making a odd shape to the camera. The Nitze v mount plate makes the camera streamlines sturdy and is excellent for mini batteries. The 2 d tap and 2 dc ports make it perfect to power camera, monitor, evf and other accessories like wireless follow focus from 1 battery. This is a must for z cam and ofcourse can be used on other cameras.

Useful for specific circumstances
So this is quite a niche product, it gives you a V Lock plate that clips onto a belt/trousers. The sort of use for that kind of thing is if you're doing handheld shots all day and want the battery to be separate from the camera so it doesn't get too heavy. Or if you want to transport an extra battery around for a doc shoot without carrying a kit bag, as you could just clip the spare battery straight on the belt. Also for gimbal work it might not be possible to balance the battery on the camera rig so you could have it clipped to you instead. Or if you just need a portable phone charger, it's not a bad idea doing that either! So, if you feel like any of those ideas fit the type of work you do, it's a great product and very solidly designed, and gives you an extra D-Tap versus carrying the battery without a plate. But it's absolutely not for everyone, and also is only really designed for mini V-Mount batteries (plus anything bigger would end up making your trousers fall down anyway!)
