I don't know how these reviewers are saying that this is "solid" or "secure," or "it holds phone or tablet firmly in place." It might be okay for a phone with the mount used end to end, but for a tablet, this thing is NOT secure. My Galaxy Tab E wobbles and is not secure in the mount.Also, there are two push button adjustments. That means you cannot tighten them down. Therefore, this mount bounces anytime you hit a bump or ride on a rough road. Check the video to see for yourself. Not very secure, but it is way cheaper than most mounts, too. Take that into consideration when purchasing.

4 stars overall for being able to hold a 10.1 Samsung galaxy tablet with otterbox case. The unit is made of plastic with no metal. There are two push button adjusters for angles and a twist lock for the holder itself. Don't expect this to float out a tablet and remain solid while in motion. The current largest Apple and Samsung phones will be supported but make sure you secure the suction correctly and on a clean surface. Keep it out of continuous sunlight as it will melt the jelly suction like every other mount on the market. I have mine set to hold a Fire tab HD and positioned it to be supported by the existing radio or any dash equipment. This works great for watching movies while parked. Recommend for those that understand everything has limitations and it must be used with limitations in mind. Despite being able to expand to hold my larger heavier tablet I will never leave it mounted in motion or unattended.

EDIT/PREFACE: I didn't realize when I wrote the initial review or bought the second iteration of the item that it has a lifetime warranty advertised. I called the manufacturer (which seems to be a small operation, as they asked me to text a photo of the item to a cell phone), and they sound like they will replace both items. I will update this if they fail to come through on that. SECOND EDIT- They only replaced one of the two I bought, and now the third one has broken. This one lasted about 5 months, probably because I only used it with my phone instead of ipad. Waiting to see if they correct the mistake, because right now I'm without one despite buying two and using 3.I bought one of these early in 2018, the top part of the holder (the part that expands to hold your device) broke off from ordinary use after about 3 months. But ultimately, I decided that 3 months of successful use was worth the $9.99, so I bought another one of the same item in July 2018. It broke on September 24 in the same exact way from regular use. Unless I find another that similarly meets my needs, I expect I'll be buying yet another (maybe 2 so that I have a backup).If you, like me, value the price and are willing to buy 3-4 of these to get you through a year, then these are recommended. But please be prepared to consider it a pleasant surprise if they last 3+ months. They work great, until they inevitably break.

I use this product to mount my tablet on my dash to use as a dashcam. The suction cup has an adhesive on it so it hasn't come off my windshield since I put it on three weeks ago. The arm does a really good job of locking into place. I have the bottom part resting on the dash to stop it from shaking with the car. The rubber on the inside of the clamps is also really good. My last tablet mount just had foam glued onto the inside of the clamps. I like the way this one is set up much better. 10/10 would buy again

This is our second Purchase, our first one lasted two years and is still hanging in there. It’s been glued with lock tight and the only time that my husband has trouble with it sticking is when the temperature gets down in the 20’s. Otherwise, as a truck driver he loves it. He had owned MANY, this one is the Best!
