Set once, runs itself.WORKS WITH YOUR WHOLE SETUPWorks natively with Apple HomeKit, Alexa, and Google Home. No hub required — connects directly over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Control with Siri, Alexa, or Google Assistant voice commands, or manage everything from the LIFX app.THE BRIGHTEST SMART STRIP. THE MOST COLOR AT ONCE.Most LED strip lights show one flat color across the entire strip. The LIFX SuperColor Lightstrip does something fundamentally different. Powered by Polychrome™ technology, 16 independently addressable color zones each display their own color simultaneously — so one end of your strip can glow deep ocean blue while the other end pulses warm amber. Smooth gradients. Rich blends. Dynamic effects rendered with a fluidity that single-color strips simply cannot match. This is what color depth actually looks like.YOUR LIGHTS. YOUR SOUNDTRACK.The LIFX app includes a dedicated library of genre-matched music themes — Synthwave, Disco, Hip-Hop, Garage Rock, Pop — each tuned to a specific musical palette. Activate EQ Visualizer and your strip pulses, morphs, and moves in real time via your device's microphone, shifting color and brightness with every beat, drop, and bassline. Pair it with Move, Morph, Strobe, or any of the app's dynamic effects for an immersive experience that makes the rest of the room feel like a venue.EVERY THEME. EVERY EFFECT. EVERY MOOD.Choose from hundreds of curated themes — Sunrise, Vaporwave, Sunset, game day team colors, holiday presets, art series, and more — each painting color across all 16 zones simultaneously. Then bring it alive with effects: Color Cycle, Flame, Flicker, Meteor, Move, Morph, Twinkle, Strobe, and more. Whether it's a gaming setup, TV backlight, bedroom ambiance, or a dinner party, there's a combination for every room, every mood, and every occasion.WHAT'S IN THE BOXThe LIFX SuperColor Lightstrip 80" Kit includes two 40-inch (3.3ft) LED strip segments that connect together to create a single continuous 6.6ft run. Each segment connects to the next via a pin-and-socket click connector — no tools required. The kit also includes one slim Wi-Fi controller and one wall plug power adapter (Type A). The controller sits between the power cord and the first strip segment and is just half an inch thick, making it easy to tuck behind a TV, desk, or furniture. You have approximately 8.2ft of total cable reach before the first strip segment begins, giving you real flexibility in where you place your power source.EXTEND FROM 6.6FT UP TO 33FT. ONE PLUG.Need more coverage? The LIFX SuperColor Extension Strip (LZ1RGBWUS), sold separately, adds one additional 3.3ft segment per kit. Click segments together pin to socket — no tools, no extra power adapters needed. Each extension adds 8 more color zones. The original wall plug powers the entire run up to 33ft maximum — simply add up to 8 extension strips to reach full coverage. For larger installations right out of the box, see the LIFX SuperColor Lightstrip 120" Kit (LZ3EK3MUS). Compatible with LIFX SuperColor Extension Strips (LZ1RGBWUS) only. For best results, do not mix with the LIFX Everyday Lightstrip.LIGHT THAT RUNS YOUR DAY.The LIFX app includes preset routines designed around how you actually live. Set Circadian Rhythm to automatically shift your strip from energizing cool white in the morning through to warm wind-down tones at night. Choose Work Day Focus for a productive desk setup, Evening Relaxation for a wind-down atmosphere, or Ok to Wake as a gentle morning signal. Set once, runs every day without lifting a finger.A NOTE ON CUTTINGLIFX SuperColor Lightstrips can be cut to fit your space. Always turn off all power before cutting. Cut only between zones of 6 LEDs at the empty white space — never at the oval metal connector. The strip that has been cut must be the last strip in the line. Please note that we are not able to warranty strips that have been cut — proceed at your own risk.NOT SUITABLE FOR OUTDOOR USEThe LIFX SuperColor Lightstrip is designed for indoor use only and is not recommended for outdoor or high-moisture environments. For outdoor smart lighting, see the LIFX Outdoor Neon Flex (LFXNEON16/WP).

Review: If the lights would stay connected, these would be amazing (They do now!) - UPDATE: Last week (10/30/2022) there was a firmware update for the LIFX Lightstrip. I am happy to say that after installing this update, and several days of use, the lightstrip is working flawlessly. It is remaining fully connected at all times. It is responsive not just in the app, but also through HomeKit and Alexa. As this is working superbly, I have changed my rating from 2 stars to 5. I recently got this light strip to use as bias lighting in my home office. Set up was easy, and they connected well with both HomeKit and Alexa. After a couple of days, they stopped staying connected to my wifi. They are in the same room as the router. In order to use the lights, I need to reset them to reconnect them every single time I want to turn them on or off. I was very disappointed considering the price point and the quality of the strip itself. The lights are bright, and the colors are vibrant. Since I have this installed already, I may get a smart plug just to turn it on and off since the plug is in an odd place. Overall, mostly disappointed with what could be a great device.
Review: Beautiful lights... poor connection UPDATE 11/7/2022 - Update 11/7/22 An update to my original review taking off a star for poor connectivity. A recent firmware update released for my strips 2.9 (for older chipsets)/3.9 with patch notes specifically reporting improved connectivity seem to be working. Where it normal for the lights to drop the connection daily and require a reset, they have not disconnected once since the update. Be warned though, a small percentage of people reported the update bricking their lights. However, I have updated 4 so far with no issues. Like others have stated, the lights are very bright and gorgeous.... when they work. The strips suffer from an unusual amount of disconnections which can be resolved by unplugging them and plugging them back in. But quite annoying for something this price when I never suffered this with cheaper brands.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Are these LED light strips dimmable ?**
A: Only from the app. Do not attempt to dim the power to the strip. These require constant power from an outlet. Dimming the power to the strip will damage the driver.

**Q: Is there a compatible 4-pin cable I can use to clear a gap over my kitchen sink?**
A: Yes. Search Amazon for

Cover the wire with a piece of inside corner moulding or crown moulding
(Prefinished plastic comes in a variety of colors. A piece that tilts to leave room behind it for the wire.

It is true that the connections do tend to.magically come loose. The wire, pins, and connection spots are tiny and very close together.

The lights go inside it - why not light up the sink area also ? On the ceiling above the sink it's almost invisable. I spray painted the front edge of the aluminum to match the ceiling.

*a piece of matching contact paper along the front edge.

Run the LEDs on the ceiling, and attach a flat piece of Shoe Moulding or baseboard in front of them like a valence.

**Q: Does this model support the light restore settings which will restore the light to its previous power state if a power outage occurs?**
A: Mine did after a hurricane.

**Q: Will there be an update to allow Lifx lights to work with a router that combines 5 and 2.4? Trying to hook to a new router is impossible.**
A: What I did was have both 5 and 2.4 set up, and renamed 2.4 what I wanted my combined network to be. Set up the lights and then had the router combine the bands.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The perfect strip lights !?
*by C***S on October 28, 2025*

Super easy to install and really good quality! The adhesive is strong 3m and stays where you put it. I’ve had mine in place for a little over 6 months and have had no issues with it coming undone. The lights are responsive and bright. I’ve had no issues with these “falling off” connection like I do with the lifx a19 bulbs. Definitely going to buy more makes the room so much fun and more enjoyable especially for holidays and parties!
