Probably hands down my favorite snare drum head!
This head is just about everything I've been looking for in a snare head. It's as thick as the classic Heavyweight, the UV cured coating onntop of the head, & the drilled holes for it to be very dry and punchy. This head can take even more of a beating and sounds so good when you crank it really tight. It's definitely a snare drum head worth checking out, especially if you like the classic Heavyweight snare head.

Heavy Hitter’s Dream…. But That’s Just About It
I’ve been playing Evans Drum Heads for over 20 years and I decided to give this head a try just to change things up a little from my trusty HD Dry that I’ve been using for about 10 years or so. Straight out of the box one thing was very clear. This thing is beefy and it is meant to be beaten. This initially made me happy since I am a heavier hitter myself. The head seemed a little thicker than the HD Dry than I had been playing and included the classic Evans reversed reinforcement dot that’s seen on other models such as the EC Reverse Dot and the Power Center Reverse Dot. The head also has the new Evans “upgraded” UV coating on it which I actually quite liked. It’s quite smoother than the classic style coating but will last much longer. Now for the actual head. After testing it at low, medium and high tunings, I found it to be just too much. With the reverse dot added to the overall thickness of the head, I found it being a very one dimensional head that was so thick that it felt hard and sacrificed the softness necessary for ghost notes and all the little intricacies a snare drum should offer. Another result of this was that the snare lacked tone of any kind. All you really get is a thud. A loud thud, but just a thud regardless. There was no musicality in this head that I could find whatsoever. Just a head designed for shear durability. If you just beat the absolute crap out of your drums, buy this head. But it’s not really for anyone else.Snare Played On: 20 Ply Ludwig Epic, 14” x 7”Sticks: Vic Firth Benny Greb

Ottima
Ottima pelle battente associata ad una SH20 come risonante ha cambiato il suono del mio rullante. Ho dovuto fare il reso perchè avevo sbagliato la misura e preso quella più piccola la consiglio.

Sound great after tuning it right.
I like the look of it, as well as the sound after tuning it right. Didn't need too much. Would recommend it.
