Very helpful for cord cutters
I was surprised how easily this works. So much so I bought another for our other TV.The menu is -1\2 * It has so much info and choices it can be overwhelming. The categories help and a categorie for free channels take a effort to find. We are allowed to rearrange the menu for favorites, It helps. If we choose to subscribe to some pay channels, Roku can include our subscription stations. I feel they encourage us to subscribe to some. But it's easy to work around once familiar.A neat feature on some free tv channels is a count down timer to tell how long the commercial is going to run. MUTE P break. Somehow there are fewer, farther apart, shorter, adds on free stations. The deluxe HD model is worth the extra cost including a upgraded remote and the image improvement is noticeable on our HD TV. I also bought the back lighted Rechargeable remote separately, They do need batteries or recharge regularly. It is still a little too complicated for Grand Ma who just wants to turn it on and watch her game shows.I would be a good mode. For some.

Better than most smart TVs
This is the third Roku device I’ve bought and the first 4K version. I think it’s a good value for the money, especially since I got it on sale. I attached it to my smart TV because it has apps like Kanopy, which my TV doesn’t offer. It was very easy to set up. Unlike earlier versions, the USB plug that I attached to the TV doesn’t get hot, which is a relief. It works well with my high speed wifi and I got an alert from the TV that it automatically adapts for best resolution. A major benefit this product offers is that when you sign into your Roku account at setup, it automatically adds the apps that you have added to your other device(s) if you have any. Therefore, you don’t have to figure out what you want and waste time looking for them. It also shows your watch and keep watching lists when you click on What to Watch. Another great benefit of Roku devices is that you can buy add-on services like AMC+, MGM+, etc. directly through the Roku channel and they are all billed through your Roku account rather than separate platforms. These can only be watched on a Roku device. They just had a holiday sale in which several of these services were offered at $1.99-2.50 per month for two months, so you can binge a show you like for a great price. Roku also has a section of free shows and movies and a lot of live channels dedicated to various topics. The smart features on some brands of TVs are super slow and often freeze up. If you have a TV like that, it’s best to reset it to factory settings and not connect wifi. Then you can attach this product for a stress-free and simple streaming experience.

Fantastic device, better than the Amazon Firesticl
Love this item! I use it for my outdoor movie setup but you can also use it anywhere you have an HDMI hookup. The setup was pretty simple to navigate. It connects seamlessly with my projector and even though we are 200 ft from my home WiFi, we have had no wifi connection issues. Also, our family vacay is at a spot where they don’t have streaming setup. We can hook up this Roku device to our TV and have access to all our streaming apps.I also think this is a MUCH better option than the Amazon fire stick because it comes with a power cord. Amazon’s comparable product costs $20 more and you have to buy the power supply separately. No, absolutely not. This Roku device works well, has easy setup and is equal in value.

Highly recommend
I bought one to replace the new fire stick that I got sick of trying to. I ended up loving this thing so much, when my other firestick finally "stopped" working I got another. I'm to the point I think I'm going to get one for my worthless Samsung Smart TV (I HATE Samsung because of this TV). Zero issues with it, it's fast tons of app that my fire stick and Samsung didn't have. I also adore the customization and the fact that it replaces a TV remote that's long been missing. I taped it under the TV next to the TV receiver.Edit, I bought it for my Samsung Smart TV. I love the thing, I wait till it's on sale to buy it. I bought three. I really don't like the fact you can't watch twitch. There are several apps that aren't supported, but I don't use any of those. Majority are supported on here and idk what's the point of Redbox gift or whatever, they went out of business like years ago. Redbox doesn't this anymore. But no twitch sucks and you can't use your Bluetooth headphones to listen to TV while rocking your baby to sleep. 🙃

It's great!
I ordered this Roku Express 4k around 4 months ago. I originally had a Fire TV Stick and wanted to try one out.I really like this product. It's easy to set up and connect to your TV, and it looks great.I like that you can change the wallpaper between different styles, and the Apple AirPlay feature is something you can't do with a Fire TV Stick.flaws:The only problem that I have with my roku is that the airplay often doesn't work, wich can be annoying, so be aware of that. There are some useful features that the Roku Express 4k does NOT have:There is no option to change the brightness settings, and you can only connect headphones through Bluetooth if you turn on headphone mode on the Roku remote app with your headphones connected to your phone.Sound quality:The sound quality always depends on the quality of your TV/sound system, so the Roku will match the sound quality of your speakers.Video quality:The video quality of this is pretty crisp. I have a pretty old TV, and the speed and pixels look great.Buffering:I have had this product for about 4 months, and I have experienced little to no buffering.Overall, I really like this product and will most likely be purchasing it again.
