I wanted to give some time to mess around with this microphone before reviewing. After playing with it, and seeing how well it functions on the key reasons I bought it, I am very impressed. I needed a microphone that could perform from a distance of at least 12 feet. While many I found in this price range ($60) boasted a recordable distance of about 15 feet, this one advertised around 20. So when I chose it, my thought was it would have a clearer sound at 12 feet than the others. While I can't confirm or disprove that to be the case, I can say that this microphone in question performed quite well once the settings were right. Clearly picking up audio at a standard speaking volume well within that advertised radius. With a careful ear I noticed the microphone even picked up the sound of me opening a closing a door close to 40 feet away past a wall. Yet, when people are in the room communicating from all angles at various distances, this mic does well not to sound overwhelming. Even with close, loud spoken, individuals it doesn't get distorted easily, as some devices would if you are too close, or too far for that matter (as long as the source of sound is approximately within that 20 foot radius). For the price I paid, I would 100% recommend this mic.

When I initially purchased this unit my expectations weren't that high. I set it up and did a Skype session with a friend. I asked him how it sounded and he said crystal clear! My wife spoke from across the room and he said that he could hear her perfectly as well. This microphone is going to be used for group Skype conference calls, so I was worried about the pickup range. No worries now that I have tried it. The unit is smaller than I expected - which is good! It installed with the Windows driver, so no disc to install the driver - which is good! Nice feature having the headphone jack right on the microphone so you can hear it without any delay. Overall, great purchase and recommend it highly! It connects via USB only which is explained in the description. I just wanted anyone that was going to purchase it that it doesn't have a 3.5mm connection and that would be easy to miss while reading the item description. I would imagine if you are reading this long-winded review, you probably picked up on the USB only connection already. A+++ product!

This picks up sound with good volume at distance which is really impressive. It does have a lot of echoes in the audio when I use it from more than a few feet. But, it does what it’s supposed to do. I just wouldn’t recommended it for spaces that are noisy and require good background noise canceling.

I hurt my back and had to set up a temporary office in a different place where I could still work comfortably in a recliner! My choice for a microphone was a crucial part of that and I am patting myself on my sore back for buying the Movo MC1000 . I have used it for calls to clients, a zoom office meeting already and gaming at night. Everyone has reported my voice as loud and very clear. I will be using it from now on, even when I return to my regular office. Installation could not have been easier. I plugged it in, and selected it as my sound input in Windows 10>> DONE! Quality and versatility is immediately obvious. It is powerful but low profile and small enough to not take up a lot of my now very limited desktop space. I could even place it much further away if I needed to. Excellent product, and well worth the reasonable price! Well done MOVO, your MC1000 is right behind my dog's paw who insisted on being in this shot!

It’s sturdy and heavy and sits on the mat perfectly. Plug and play and works with Kinovea.

Doesn't work much better than the native microphone on my phone. The USB port fell out after a dozen uses rendering useless.

This microphone is great. We have meetings in a loft room and it catches everyone in the room.

I am a technology project manager and needed a small microphone to use in a small lunch room for a kickoff meeting. We were conducting a Teams meeting along with an onsite meeting and needed to record the conversations. This microphone did an exceptional job and also blocked out surrounding noise. Great price. Very easy to use. Just plug in and go. You do need to plug in ear buds if you want to listen to ensure the voices can be heard and understood.

We have these in the meeting rooms Really good audio solid build quality and step up from integrated mics in the webcam. Looked at others but pleased with purchase. No software very straightforward

It simply doesn’t work. Says plug and play but far from it. Tried all the configure steps stated in the manual. Nothing. This is disappointing. If the manufacturers are reading this - pls confirm that this is a indeed a verified purchase and have the decency of either refund me or send me a working piece.

C'est un bon micro qui vient en complément de ma webcam qui avait pourtant un bon son mais j'ai préféré un rendu plus puissant et ce micro me va très bien pour cette utilisation dans ma chambre, sur ma table de nuit.
