Got this for my girlfriend, she absolutely loves it.

This was very much with the money. Just like what you see in the picture and a unique item. A must have for a curio.

Love it!

This is a pretty thing. Unfortunately it has three flaws.1) It is precise but not accurate. Mine measures about 65 minutes,2) It is very hard to see either the sand running through or the the sand running out.3) And this is the worst, IMHO, you cannot "flip" the hourglass over (as advertised). The knobs are simply screwed onto bolts, both of which tighten clockwise (standard). But turning the hourglass over loosens one and tightens the other long before you complete the flip. You must hand un-tighten and re-tighten the knob upon flipping it over, or risk damaging the glass. And you cannot loosen the knobs beforehand or gravity will prevent the flip from staying flipped. I replaced the knobs with black lock nuts (see photo) and it now works like intended.

Accurate and very pretty. My daughters home is gothic style and she loves it. I bought the one with black sand. I only gave it 4 stars because I think it was a little pricey. Other than that it's very nice looking
