This thing is great! Plugs straight into either my PC or my iPhone 5s, and just works. On the computer, it functions just like a flash drive. On the phone, you use the free app to access whatever's on the Hootoo. The app plays music, shows videos and photos, even takes photos and videos instead of the Camera app on the phone!And this item is really pretty--not to mention very solid-looking.I guess my only issue is that you *have* to use the app. It's fine, but not quite as elegant as the Music app or the Camera app. I'm hoping to keep all of my media on the Hootoo, and I'll miss those apps.UPDATE: I received an interesting email from this company. Apparently, they are planning updates to the app that will make it more user-friendly, which is great; but they also offered me an $8 refund if I would change my four star rating to five stars! I responded that of course I would not participate in an unethical practice or offer a false rating. But beware, at least some of the five star reviews for this product are simply untrue

i had been using this drive for months before it began not working properly, and after reading some of the other Amazon reviews, I saw a couple of people having similar problems with the drive. I contacted Hoo Too customer support via email informing them of the problem and my email was answered almost immediately by “Jayant”. We exchanged emails for about a week or so, with Jayant offering suggestions for possible fixes, and me reporting back on the progress I had made on what did and didn’t work. In the end, Jayant informed me that a new drive would be delivered in a couple of days—and it was!The product itself is very well made with a metal body which includes a metal cap to cover the lightning connector. It can be carried on a keychain (although I don’t ) but it is with me always. It effortlessly makes the transfer of photos and files from any iOS device (runnning the Plugmate app) to any PC and vice versa.I highly recommend this device for anyone who wants to increase the storage of their iOS products and people like me who work with both Apple and PC devices.And thanks once again to Jayant of Hoo Too Customer Service!

update date #2... .... I did some beta testing and the new version moves quick and copies everything, I had no issues. The customer support team worked hard to fix the issue. Thumbs upI was so excited when I received this. I plugged it in my iPhone 7 and let the magic begin. What I cant figure out is why all of my pictures don't copy - well it looks like they all copy but over 1/2 of them don't show as photos. Instead just a name of a file. I don't get it. I tried going on the website and it says to turn off wifi. (I did). I have been at this for 45 minutes. I removed deleted files from drive and then removed app from phone and put it back on. It just doesnt' seem to want to work. I am trying again copying the folder file (instead of individual pictures) but it looks hung up. This makes me very sad and i will be returning.Update #1 - Changed from 1 star to 3 stars because of excellent customer service - the company was very helpful. They sent me a replacement. My pictures worked fine but I had issues with videos. Reformatting didn't work for me so they returned my money.

This thing is freaking amazing, I was about buy the iphone 7 because of the lack of memory. Im so glad i came across this little guy. Its durable and fast. I have used it in 4 trips so far and had no issues when transferring the information. You can even format all your stuff from the phone and create folders. Its like having your own computer on your phone. Also great for watching movies on your trips just upload them and watch them on the go. If your running low on memory just delete them.

I would not recommend. It does not work. It transferred half my pictures than quit on me. I cleared the flash drive than tried again several more times but the same thing happened over and over. I reached out to HooToo Customer Service and they were useless. I think they are overseas and don't understand English because the response made no sense.... I tried googling the issue to no avail. Save your money!

This product at first did not work. I contacted the seller & I was given advice on how to try to resolve it. It worked. My problem was the phone case. The iPhone & Hoo Too were not connecting. Once I took the phone case off it did work. I was able to transfer my photos. I still need to work with it more but I am pleased the photos actually transferred. Once I took the case off the icon for the iPlugmate turned blue & they connected. Pleased with the prompt response from the seller.UPDATE: The HooToo support is excellent. I had another issue & they resolved it quickly.

I just wanted to move the pictures from my iPad to my computer to free up some room and to permanently store them. Unfortunately doing it through iTunes as I did in the past kept returning an error message so I thought I’d try this flash drive. I’m pleased to say that despite the onscreen instructions not being easy to understand I got it to work and copied all my pictures to it. After removing it from my iPad I just plugged it in to my computer as the other end of the drive is a usb connector and downloaded the pictures. Job done and I can now back up my iPad any time I want.

Great photo product easy to transfer files from iPad to my surface pro

HooToo arrive safely within a few days. I plugged it into my windows computer and dragged and dropped several hundred photographs across to it. I then unplugged the HooToo. Next, I plugged the other end into my iPad. I was asked to download an app which only took a few seconds to do. I didn’t expect the device to work because I know Microsoft and Apple don’t like each other, but to my amazement, displayed on the iPad was all my photographs. Fantastic, I was lost for words. A brilliant device.

This is a brilliant little piece of kit for backing up images off your iPhone and transferring them to iPad or Mac. It is very easy to set up use, and is so versatile, as you can load video files and movies to watch straight from the device. You can set up a passcode for added security. I can thoroughly recommend the HooToo.

This USB stick is disappointing you’re only able to transfer photos and videos it’s a shame that you can’t transfer documents and PDFs and so on. you have to use a app to access the information on this USB good build quality but don’t like the fact that you can only transfer photos and videos. Wouldn’t recommend
