It works!
After trying a DIY cork mouse pad, I had doubts about buying this. This is made of smaller cork pieces and is smoother than the cork board material I had tried, so it works well. It lets the mouse move freely enough - there is a little more resistance on the mouse than on a cloth-topped mouse pad, but not enough to detract from the usability at all - just something you will notice the first time you use it. Without a grippy surface on the bottom, I had also thought there would be potential for it to travel around the desk, but I haven't had this problem. To be sure, though, I turn it to a portrait orientation and typically rest my wrist on the bottom edge while using the mouse on the top area. I figure that's probably better ergonomically anyway to be on the same level as the mouse. The absence of synthetic rubber and plastic components and being made of a renewable resource instead of oil is another plus. I'm not sure what glue they use for the cork, or how the cork trees are managed, so it may not be 'perfect' environmentally, but it was the most-good option I found and am happy with the purchase. It's another vote for companies to move in a good direction for our environment.

A good environmentally friendly, latex free mousepad.
This has been durable so far and doesn’t slide around on my glass desk. I have an allergy to rubber/latex so finding a mousepad I can use and I like is always difficult but this one fits the bill. I prefer those that are a little bit slimmer than this but overall the height works just fine Took me a couple weeks to get used to it and I rarely have an issue with it any longer. (I tend to “drive” my mouse over the top of it sometimes and falling off the higher edge too some getting used to, rather than my last mousepad that was almost flush to the desk.)

Not for Apple Magic Mouse
Be warned, while the pad is nice and comfortable and what you would expect from a cork pad, it does NOT work with an Apple Magic Mouse. Granted the Apple Magic Mouse is sensitive to certain mousepad surfaces in general, but consider this a warning.

Perfect for my ergonomic mouse, even for a moderate-high sensitivity laser mouse gamer
Hey, i'm still using it even today! I think it has been... four months now, and it is the perfect mouse pad for my ergonomic mouse (it feels so much more natural to have my hand in a side-ways position! even being a lady gamer, it hasn't affected my performance). It has zero funky smell and is nice and plain so it doesn't clash with my set-up. It's nice to know I've invested in a renewable source that won't hurt the environment. So far it hasn't flaked any bits, I make an effort not to pick at it, lol. Thankfully my cat has not shown interest in it, i'm sure a pet chewing and scratching it would wreck it pretty quickly. I am a gamer as well and the laser in my mouse takes to it very well and it offers a smooth operation during my games. I prefer moderate-high mouse sensitivity, so this mouse pad works perfectly for me. For anyone who plays super-duper fast games and require super high sensitivity, this may be a little too grippy for your mouse, unless you have a quality bottom on the mouse. For anything else, it's great, and lightly cushioning (no noticeable give like a foam, it's firm, but has a natural "softness" to its touch). Oh, and it is NOT floppy! It is firmly in shape and perhaps has the slightest ability to bend. Not too much, i'm sure it would crack if you did bend it more than a few degrees. It's meant to be flat and stay flat, lol.

Nice mouse pad
Very good. I use it on my side table by my recliner when I access the Internet with my TV. It looks good there. I wish it had a non-slip surface on the back side. That's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

perfect for those with allergies to latex and synthetic rubbers
I got this to replace my traditional thin rubberized mouse pad which I had to get rid after developing an eczema rash on my wrist. With this pad which has no rubber or rubber like material, my rash has cleared up. It works just as well as all the many mousepads I've had over the years. Since it has no laminated layers that separate and peel at the corners and at 1/4 inch thick, it is thick enough that the corners and edges won't curl up, I suspect it will last a lot longer than most mousepads.

Eco, sturdy, looks cool.
Standard shape mouse pad, about 1/2" thick. Seems sturdy enough for my desk, which gets gentle use. I would not reccomend this for children or adults with heavily used desks, because it will break if forcibly bent. This is 100% natural cork, which is a) cool looking, and b) environmentaly friendly. I try to avoid plastic whenever I can, and this is another good way to do that. Peace!
