I can't say for certain but I use half a kilo plus 300ml of liquid quite easily with room to spare. Hope this helps

Attachchments with metal connectors?

Hi, Yes the attachments are metal and have proved to be well designed. They stir, beat, mix the ingredients in the bowl perfectly. An excellent appliance really just as happy with its performance as with the Kenwood, its predecessor, which gave up after very, very, many years of great service. Stay safe & well Pat & Martin xx

Is there any adjustment to alter the clearance of the beaters? When creaming butter and sugar too much is left on the side not mixed

No there is no adjustment but usually I stop mixing after a few minutes and use spatula to go round bowl. Then mix again.

why does the manual say the maximum length of time you can knead dough on setting 3 is only 4 minutes? Most bread dough needs to be kneaded for 10 min

If you knead the dough at setting 3 for 10 minutes, it will most likely overheat and break a mixer after a few times. I usually knead the dough at speed 1, for 2-3 minutes, then at speed 2, for 3-4 minutes and then finish off kneading by hand. It is a really nice mixer, considering the price, but it struggles to knead the dough fully. Love it though. Made baking bread a much more pleasant experience.
