Works in demanding situation
Holding thin, flat workpieces on a mill can be challenging. The traditional techniques is to clamp them in a vise. However, for thin workpieces this ranges from sub-optimal to completely unworkable. (Since I am not writing to machinists, I will skip the details of 'why.')Acting on advice from machinists, I tried the double-sided sticky tape method. Cleaning and degreasing both the mill table and the underside of the workpiece is vital. After that, the procedure is straightforward. I simply covered an area on the mill table a little larger than the workpiece with the double sided tape, ensured there were no wrinkles, and then pressed the workpiece onto it. Next, I lightly tapped the workpiece down with a rubber hammer. The double sided tape held the workpiece solid as I fly cut it with the mill. (Pardon the technical term.) Fly cutting only removes a few thousandths of an inch per pass. In this experiment, I removed up to 0.005" per pass. The tape held the workpiece solidly in place. At no time did I feel any hint of workpiece instability. (It is also sub-optimal to have a workpiece come flying out of the mill at your midsection.)Both the workpiece and tape were extremely easy to remove. As I pried the workpiece off the mill table, most of the tape came with it leaving only a speck on the surface of the table, which I removed with a fingernail. The tape easily came off the workpiece.I will DEFINITELY add Intertape 591 Premium Golf Grip Tape to my milling machine 'hold down' techniques!

Perfect for CNC workholding
I use this tape for fixturing/holding items to my CNC machine. It is the perfect amount of hold strength for the application. It is not cheap, but the best option I have found for the application.

Great for CNC woodwork
This tape is a little on the high side of cost when it comes to dbl sided tape for CNC wood work but it works great. I have been using this tape for about a year and it holds projects down securely and when you pull it off of your projects it doesn’t leave behind residue and it doesn’t damage the items your working on. I would definitely recommend it.

Best grip tape I've used
Match this up with Brampton HF100 Grip Solvent and you've got a winner. I hate using Mineral Spirits and grips stick halfway on if you don't use enough because it just dries too fast. Brampton HF100 is great, requires very little of it (use too much and the grip might take a while to dry) and doesn't stink and this tape works very well along with it!I like to double wrap my grips and this stuff matches a few types I'd been using but is very easy to work with (not too stiff or flimsy). I played 12 rounds since re-gripping with this tape and grips haven't slipped or anything so all in all it does exactly what I'd hoped and I'll keep using it.

Doesn't Stick
I got this tape to hold down wood stock to a wood base for CNC router. Sometimes it works, but often doesn't stick adequately. It seems to be the top side of the tape (under the white surface removed when used) that does not stick as well. I have seen this tape used for this purpose in videos. I have used another brand of 3/4" wide tape for similar purpose, and probably half as much tape works well nearly always. My suspicion is that I didn't get the tape I expected. The inside of the carboard tube does not show any brand markings like the photo. Maybe it is old tape or something, but I will not be buying it again.UPDATE: As I get further into the roll of tape, it seems to work better. It's possible the outer portion of the tape had dried out. If this trend continues, I might be upgrading my rating.UPDATE: I'm now well over half way through the roll of this tape. It is now sticking much better than it did originally. Either I did get an old roll of tape, or I have learned how much pressure it takes for good adhesion. I am upgrading my rating, but I will be experimenting with other brands of double sided tape.

Stillthe best tape for regripping
You pay a little more, but it's worth it, especially if you grip clubs frequently. The other tape leaves a messy cleanup, if your not careful you can get a grip stuck half way on. Without the means to get it back off, only option is to cut it off. You just lost your savings.

When slippage just can't be tolerated
I use this tape in woodworking. It is absolutely the best product available.
