12 Preludes (Easy Etudes): Guitar Solo
J**.
Not "easy"
These etudes are not "easy." Manuel Ponce wrote for guitar and piano and worked with Segovia, transcribing the famous Cello sonata by Bach. These are probably level Intermediate to Advanced.

really nice little pieces
They're called "Easy Etudes".....well, easy-ISH..... very nice pieces, I bought this to replace some music which I've lost track of, and of course, will soon find. However, I only had 2 of the etudes before... I look forward to learning more of them, if I ever...STEP AWAY FROM THE COMPUTER!!!

Easy is relative....
These are some of the best...yet easy for Segovia, hard for me études written. They are not easy. Intermediate at lowest level of technique. But masterful in their composition. Wonderful.

Lovely pieces, varying difficulty (easy to fairly difficult)
These are Segovia's well known selection of 12 from a set of 24 preludes written for him. Segovia changed the key (by a semitone) of three of them and his edition contains additional top A's in chords 1,2,5,6 and 7 and the last three chords of the piece VI (his numbering), suggesting he may have worked from a different manuscript from the full edition of all 24 pieces recently published by Stefano Grondona. The early Schott Edition is perhaps worthy of 5 stars, but I gave it 4 to make you read the review to see why. Grondona's edition is certainly both complete and more scholarly than Segovia's, and one cannot escape the fact that the pieces were inspired by and written for Segovia. For the less advanced player, the set is well worth buying for the 7 easiest pieces alone.
