Super fast, reliable, and very sturdy (after a few modifications). Even my wife approves!!!
I bought several models that had features I liked but I sent all the other gun safes back. This is the one I kept.Pros:- This thing responds so fast!- It has a fingerprint reader so even when I'm groggy it works - and FAST!- It has an LED light.- It is skinny and fits just about anywhere.- It uses a 9 volt battery so it will last a long time and won't corrode as much as AAA batteries.- It has a battery life indicator.- In addition to the fingerprint reader it also has a buttons you can program as well as a key.- It has a mute capability for pressing the buttons or using the fingerprint scanner.- It is very reliable - just record your fingers many times.- It stores LOTS of fingerprints!Cons:- Are there any cons with this safe? Well, there are a few but they all were quickly overcome with fairly simple modifications.- The bracket it comes with is flimsy, it adds some thickness to the installation, and it has this strange piece that sticks out on top. But I used the drill press to drill some new holes through both sides of the frame and I direct-mounted it to the back of my nightstand without the bracket. Slick huh? Nobody will ever see it there and it is so skinny without the bracket. Now it's super sturdy too!- At first it didn't recognize my fingerprint consistently and I realized I was putting my finger on slightly different sometimes. Solution - just record my fingerprint (and my wife's fingerprint) as many times as I want to from lots of different angles. This thing holds something like 140 fingerprints!- Even though it has a mute feature it still makes a distinct noise when opening - but all the other models made that same noise too. Only one model was quieter but it used AAA batteries, didn't have an LED light, and only stored 15 fingerprints.- Older versions of this gunsafe had an issue where new fingerprints could be added even though it was still closed so don't buy a used one unless you are okay with that glitch. That isn't a huge deal in most cases since this type of gun safe is intended to be hidden away to begin with. Now my wife has approved another one of these safes to go in a closet near the front door and I am going to buy the same model! That is no small statement - she had never used a gun before we got married and she was initially very unsupportive of any guns being stored outside of the big expensive gun safe. But that big gun safe is for keeping guns that I can get to when I have time to go get them and load them. This one is for keeping a handgun locked and loaded - ready for action in an emergency! Insert a full magazine, rack one bullet into the chamber then eject the magazine and push in a bullet to replace the one that's in the chamber, then re-insert that magazine and store the handgun in this awesome little safe ready to use at a moment's notice!

Works Very Well
I've had this safe mounted beside my bed for about one year, and I have had no issues with it. I've accessed the weapon several times just to test its function, and it has never failed to open. Setting or changing your entry code is very simple. I couldn't be more pleased.

Nice Quality
I purchased this gun safe for our upstairs master bedroom. For the price this is a great unit. Very easy to mount and operate. The door works flawlessly. I don't like the biometrics safes because they don't work 100 percent of the time. The buttons are large enough to operate at night with only 4 to work with. You program your own combo. We have grandchildren but they are not the age to fiddle with things like this. If you worry about leaving a firearm unattended somewhere in your house, this safe can be mounted anywhere under a desk, side of a wall etc.. you wont go wrong spending cash on this unit. Hope this helps

Decent Pistol Safe for the Price
As a professional that uses a firearm daily, I found this to be a decent little handgun safe considering the price. I have used handgun safes for decades, and needed a new little one next to the bed, after my "higher end" one I had before gave me issues. After lot's of research, I decided to give this one a try. Be aware, most handgun safes (if not all) like this are primarily to keep the firearm out of the hands of children and keep unauthorized persons from accessing it quickly and easily. With a little bit of time and know how, every one of these, including most of the higher priced ones, can be broken into quite easily if someone wants to bad enough. In reading reviews I saw that the keypad and biometric fingerprint reader had a mix of good and bad reviews. The unit that I received works quite well, and I have had no problem with either the keypad or the biometric fingerprint reader. I did however scan my primary fingers numerous times, once fully centered, and again more of a side press for each side of my finger, just in case I did not get it perfectly square on the reader the first time. I even put some chalk dust on my fingers to see how it worked and tried it with wet fingers as well, and it still opened for me. Unlike several other low priced units, this only opens to scanned fingerprints, and after having all my family try to open it with unscanned fingerprints multiple times, not a one could get it open. That's an important requirement, considering some other brands in this price range seem to open at the touch of any fingerprints, even those that were not scanned and saved.I will tell you that the release latch is very LOUD, when it opens the handgun safe. Loud enough, that I don't know why they put a keypad silence option on the unit, as the release is louder than the keypad beeps. If you don't want to give your position away with noise, this is not the handgun safe for you! However I have also found, over the years, that ALL brands make some noise. For me this is not a major problem, as I have taken steps to harden entry points to my home, to give me notice and time to be prepared if someone did try to enter. For a full size handgun, it fits well in the unit and is easy to grasp. However of you are going to put a smaller concealed carry handgun in the unit, you better have really tiny hands in order to be able to grasp it. My hands are not overly large, and with my small P365 handgun, I could not easily get a good grip on the handgun when drawing it from the unit. With my H&K VP9, I can readily get an immediate and secure grip on the handgun as soon as the unit opens. The unit is one of the smaller units of its kind, making it easy to attach almost anywhere. The drawback to that is that other than the gun, not much else will fit in the safe. I like to keep a quality tactical flashlight and a spare magazine with all my home defense handguns, and this safe just won't allow it, due to it's small size. Luckily I have always kept a high quality tactical flashlight on the nightstand that this safe is attached to.Many people that have reviewed this safe stated that it is flimsy, loose fitted and clunky in design. I honestly found it very similar to numerous others I have tested and tried over the years. For the price, it's not that bad. Come on people, do you expect all the parts to be hand fitted? The only other thing I wish they had done, is to have used a little bit denser foam for holding the gun, and possibly a pluck and pull option to customize it to your firearm, with replacement foam sold separately, so you can customize for different firearms that you might want to place in the safe.I would have given this handgun safe only three stars, however based on the price, the options and comparing it to others on the market, it's not a terrible unit for what you are paying for. If you want something better, you are going to be trippeling this price, and even many of those have some of the same or similar issues as well.

Bought 2, both failed, no support.
V12 biometric. 1 failed in 3 days, batteries go dead in 24 hours, loses fingerprint memory, etc. Other one failed in 2 weeks random beeps and lights flash, wont open with bio or keypad, batteries last about a week. Seller said I didnt use the correct batteries (Duracell) and quit responding. I used every name brand battery including Duracell, no difference. I already have keyed lock boxes, I didnt need more. Crap product, crooked seller. Avoid!
