Excellent Optical Quaity at this price range
It's a beautiful set of binoculars to use in the field. I have used it in the rain and had absolutely no problem using it. The only drawback is a bit of purple fringing in the subject when the subject is directly against the sun—overall a great product.

A decent bird/nature watching binocular.
This is my 2nd Vanguard binocular, the 1st one was Orros. Both were 10 x 42, however Veo is comparatively better than Orros with respect to sharpness, brightness and clarity. The optics (ED glass) in veo are pretty decent and is very suitable for bird and nature watching. However, when observing objects in high contrast there is a very slight tinge of chromatic abberation. But, for anyone who wants a good binocular for a decent price this can be a good choice. I would highly recommend this binocular.
