Do these boots breathe well? I'd be hiking in TX in the summer in them.

I love my boots! They fit great. So far, I have worn them for three seasons but not in very hot, hot weather. I can tell you, though, that your feet will be comfy in single-digit temperatures. I suggest Columbia's lighter weight mesh hiking boot/shoe. I own a pair of those as well and prefer them for the summer.

Are they really waterproof ?

Yes; they are legitimately waterproof and hold up very well in the rain/snow/puddles/streams. People often claim that Columbia boots/shoes are not waterproof because they say their feet/ankles still get wet while wearing them, but that's often because of snow/water getting in from above the ankle/leg and such. These are definitely waterproof.

Are these boots sized in mens?

No, these are Women’s boots and sized for women.
