Apple should kickback to i-Blason because this stand made a believer out a formerly disintererested senior citizen.
I got it for it to recline with the stand part at the top of the screen. It's wobbly on the bed when the easel part is on the bottom. It stays upright in the bottom easel position just fine on the desk though but this is softer than I expected. I thought it would be hard crackable thick plastic - this is little more flexibly, rubbery but feels pleathery and more and more, I see what a great case this is. Why would anyone even an adult choose those $80 hard shells when they can have this with a stand that will be less likely to break off after a year.It doesn't slip in, you squeeze into it - that part is not difficult but I had covers on both sides of my ipadair and had to be careful that nothing got pulled off which happens with snug iphone cases as well.It charged just fine - I was worried that the cover over the charger opening would push the lightning cable loose but it did not.I do like hard stiff cases but I have never owned one for a device and it is better to have this kind because it won't crack when it is dropped - which is why I don't buy hard plastic food containers anymore. You may lose the waifish ness of the air with this case or any case for that matter - but this changed the ipad in the eyes of someone who thinks tablets are stupid. They spent hours watching youtube HAPPILY for the first time thanks to the stand feature - we used it both ways but the lower way which is what made me buy it is awesome. We don't really use it in the handle position.I recommend this unreservedly and if someone is worried about bulk or kiddishness - they shouldn't - it's a regular case, not flimsy despite the comparably affordable price and in black, it just looks like all the other apple device cases.

Perfect fit
I researched this product to see if it was worth purchasing instead of an otter box. I first heard about it through my mother who's friend bought one for their child. She actually said she wish she had one instead of her ottorerbox because it's so heavy. So I looked into it and found it on Amazon very quick and easy. I have read mostly good reviews and some of the negative ones too but the good outweighed the negative so I decided to give it a try. I was worried when they said the material is like hard styrofoam but it fits snugly. Read one review where a child dropped it down a flight of stairs and it still held and no scratches to the iPad. I was impressed. When I received it I saw what they meant by hard Styrofoam almost like rubber but not quite. It's very light weight and I like that it has an easy handle to carry and turns into a prop stand to watch movies or something instead of laying flat. I bought my daughter the iPad Air and it's does fit very snug so it doesn't slide. Comes out easier than trying to put it back in place. She hasn't had an iPad for a while now because it got water damaged so she was very excited to get one again. It's easy for her to carry and easy to find since it is in the bright pink case. I do believe it will hold up well if she dropped it because of the thickness of the case. The best way I can describe it is like the material used on dog toys the hard thick styrofoam ones. I'm pleased with the product for the price I paid.

The BEST child-proof case!
This case is a life saver! I purchased this case to protect my iPad from my three year old daughter and it's held up amazingly well. She has dropped the iPad numerous times and there's still not a scratch on the device. The case completely envelops the iPad so all four corners, the back, and the front trim is protected. This means that when the iPad is placed face-down the surface of the iPad never touches. The handle is also very useful, as my daughter can hold the case one-handed and still have a good grip on it.The handle portion of the case can either lay flat, bend forward, or bend backwards. Although my daughter uses the iPad mostly with the handle portion laying flat, she's also bent it back to hang the iPad on her bed headboard (so she could watch a show with her brother), so she could watch the iPad on a slight incline, and so she could watch with the iPad standing straight up (on a nearby table). One last note- this case does not come with a screen protector. I recommend pairing this case with a Tech Armor screen protector. Even though the case does it's job, you can never prevent a toddler from trying to scratch the screen with toys or sharp jewelry.

It's squishier than it appears.
What I expected from this case was a hard outer case around a soft inner shell based on the description of "impact-resistant polycarbonate and double-enforced with a shock absorbing silicone inner-sleeve". It certainly is not; it's more like a thick silicone wrap and flexes some when carried around. The case is new to me so the iPad hasn't been dropped yet. The case may very well be impact resistant, but due to its squishiness I'm a bit skeptical. Despite this, the soft nature of the material makes the case comfortable to hold and the iPad doesn't slide around too much inside. I really like how a flap conceals the charging port, although it is somewhat difficult to plug in a charger. I can easily see the thin hinge made out of the same material will wear away and break off after a while, but it holds tight for now. The flip-out stand is okay, but it's unable to stand up on its own. It's much better suited to the "raised flat" position. All that said, I do recommend the case so far, just know it doesn't feel as durable as the picture would seem indicate.

Lasted 3 years perfectly!
Still in perfect condition 3 years later and the iPad inside is perfect (whose main owner has been my son from 3-6! Only writing a review because I have another iPad which needs child proofing from a 2 year old.

Clumsy mummy case
This does exactly what it says it does. Protects your ipad whilst still being able to use all functions. The handle / stand has been really useful to prop it up in most directions allowing me to watch / use my ipad without having to hold it and worry I am pressing buttons.Since using this I can worry less that I will harm my ipad. I don't care that it doesn't have the latest cartoon character or trendy pattern on it and that it is a bit bulkier than some covers it's tough and protects!

Great case very sturdy and strong I purchased this so my three-year-old didn't destroy the iPad. There is no danger of him smashing it up now if he accidentally dropped it on the floor. I also love how you can turn the handle for it to stand up so when I'm cooking I also use it as a point of reference. Perfect!

Fantastic case. Bought for my daughters ipad
Fantastic case. Bought for my daughters ipad. Both of us love it, the handle turns into a stand as shown and it is very robust. It was very difficult to get the ipad into the case but you know it's not going to fall out easily

Brilliant case for kids
My children have one each a 4 year old and a 5 year old. And these cases have taken alot of throwing and beating. They protect the ipad quite well and make it easy for kids to watch movies or play games or carry it around.
