Danby DMW7700BLDB 0.7 cu. ft. Microwave Oven - Black

This microwave makes me happy, it does everything I need it to. I had bought another o e from a different brand and it annoyed me so much I had to return it. This one has all the features I need and is very intuitive to use. Not all microwaves have a "time cook"option, so if you want less than a minute on most you are screwed. I do 45 seconds often and needed a microwave that could handle that. The kitchen timer option works great too. I like that it's small, but still fits a tall glass to heat water. My only complaint is that opening the door won't make the beeping stop, but it's not a super loud annoying beep so I can deal with it. My boyfriend likes that once the timer stops, the clock automatically comes back and you don't have to push any buttons to make that happen. 10/10 would buy again.

We bought this microwave as a backup. At first it took the place of a much larger other brand oven that had failed while still under warranty and whose replacement was expected to arrive in another two weeks. Then the Danby would be used in my studio. Except for its smaller capacity, it does everything and does it well. I would recommend it for those with limited space and to anyone who doesn't need room for some larger containers to fit in their microwave. It is a convenient size that doesn't overwhelm your counter top.

I've had this for a full three months now and I think for what I paid, it does its job. It has a lower wattage so it will be weaker than your average microwave that you're used to. So, when heating things up, you'll have to add in an extra 30 seconds. No big deal. The size is also small so I can't fit my dinner plate in it but again, it doesn't majorly inconvenience my life either. I like the black cuz it looks chic and pretty much goes with anything. It also hides any dusty-ness. Functions I love: -I love the kitchen timer function. -I love the clock -I also like the quick automated times set so I can just press one button to get the microwave going. (e.g. press 1 - the microwave will go on for 1 min at the power setting and it will start microwaving) Would I recommend this product. Based on my experience, absolutely. I don't know how people ended up with shattered glass tho. I'm glad mine isn't acting up like those are.

I've been using this microwave for a while now, and I can safely say it was a great purchase. I bought it based on the number of positive reviews it received, and I'm here to add to that number. First of all, you should know that this is a small microwave. It's good if you plan to get a plate in there, a cup, a bag of popcorn, or any other smaller item, but you can't really expect to through in anything larger than that. Also, it's not super fast. The highest power rating is lower than the average, and that means food will take longer to heat up. As a simple example, I used it recently for micro-wave popcorn, and while the bag instructions said that 1:30 would be enough, in reality I had to run it for about 2:30 min. As long as you understand these limitations and are OK with them, this is a really great product. The only thing I can think of that could maybe be improved beyond these "limitations" is the back side. I can't really push it against the wall, since the power cord doesn't allow it, as as that would mean bending it way too much. And having all of this in mind, I use it just about every day and I feel like it was a great purchase. I would definitely buy it again.

This product looks great in a small package but have a serious flaw and quality control problem. The first microwave oven I received cannot cook at high power for more than 9 minutes without cycling power every 30 seconds. If you use it again, you have to cycle power by unplugging it from outlet or you have an oven that acts like you are using 50% power. I return this item for a replacement thinking I got a lemon. The second one arrived and had the same exact problem. On top of that the turntable would not turn smoothly and makes a clicking sound. If you do not cook large bowl of soup, you may not notice this design flaw.

This microwave works great for the price but arrived with a large dent on top. Since we needed it rather urgently, we opted not to return it and use it as is. Had it not arrived with the dent, it would've gotten a better review. It was packaged great, so I'm not sure why there was a dent. Also, the manual didn't have a ton of explanation for things. There's a piece inside that almost looks like packaging as it is cardboardish material but it's apparently part of the unit. Like I said, it does work surprisingly well.

I've been using this microwave (pretty heavily) daily for over two and a half years now, and it is still going strong. I do resent the loud excessive beeping, but given the price and its great performance and durability, that seems a minor detail (and not an issue if you can rush to turn it off before the final series of beeps :-) ). I've been impressed and would definitely recommend this product.

I am in love with this microwave! I live in a small space and it is quite compact, taking up very little counter space, while still offering enough internal space to fit all of my dishes and bowls. It was very easy to install, I just had to remove the rotating glass turntable from its additional cardboard packing inside the microwave, place it on the balance, and plug the microwave in! It heats things up quite quickly, but I haven't experienced any issue with it only heating the surface while leaving the inside cold and gross. It has also not burned a single bit of popcorn, which from other microwaves I've tried seems to be quite a feat. The beeping is also quiet and not obnoxious at all. Overall I am super happy! I paid less than $60 for one of the best microwaves I have ever used!

I had an old Danby that I loved, it broke after 8 years and I was glad to have found this closest replacement. Controls are very handy as you have the one-touch start button for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 min respectively. Pressing START itself will start the microwave for 30 seconds and pressing it again while running adds 30 secs each time. It's literally the fewest number of presses possible to get the job done. Some may complain it doesn't have enough power, but what's a few more seconds to wait in exchange for a compact, sleek, and good looking microwave. It's the smallest, functional unit for my kitchen counter top which is cluttered as it is. I don't know why there aren't more manufacturers competing in this size category!

Small microwaves are not easy to find when you need one to fit a small enclosure.

Works well. The rotating tray only seems to work sometimes. But for the amount that I use it its not worth returning. Other then that its a great microwave for the price.
