The light intensity was great.
Didn't care for the projection of the beam being sort of a star shape. I'm using it in my Ryobi 18v light.

You! You Light Up My Life!
I have an older Bosch work lamp that some of the circuitry went out on - so I set about setting up and replacing the original unit with a better switch and the like. I got everything done, and realized that the bulb had blown when the board went out. So I ordered this LED to replace the incandescent bulb. It works really well... it does give a weird cross shaped pattern on the lighting though... not complaining, it puts out sufficient light and there is no diffusion on the reflector, and it's bright enough to work with.

Overall decent.
Works ok as far as fitting the socket of the lamp it replaces... the added height is a factor, as it is taller than an incandescent flashlight bulb, so it may not fit some lights if there isn't enough space behind the lens. Far as light output, it works pretty well. One noted oddity, though, is because of the shape and placement of the LED's, it creates a 'cross' (+) pattern of light from the flashlight's reflector... very blue/white and bright in the pattern, but tapering off to a dimmer yellow outside it. Not necessarily a deal breaker, but something to be aware of, as it will be very different from the incandescent or most other single-emitter replacements.

The bulbs have a high pitched whine when active.
The bulbs have a high pitched whine when they are emitting light. That is something that bothers me, so I didn't rate them as high as I would have if there was no whine. But I am satisfied with the amount of light that they emit.

Bright but better suited for a lantern or light with a globe
No problems with the bulb upgrade, it works and is bright. Because of the LED placement you're not going to get anything close to a clear, sharp, defined beam. None of the flashlights it was installed in, with the ability to focus, achieved a good beam pattern, just bright spots with areas of no light. If it were used in a lantern or device with a globe to diffuse the pattern then it would be great. The "LiteXpress" with a centrally placed LED allows for extreme beam sharpness, as in a MagLite; if you require a sharp and defined beam it would be a better choice.

Weird beam pattern, but otherwise great
The first one I received burnt out in 2 minutes, but the replacement has been working great so far. Hasn’t been able to drain a battery by itself yet, so I’m gonna assume the power usage is almost nothingThe light has a weird pattern to it though, caused by the placement of the LEDs on the bulb. It kinda shines a square, with brighter portions on the sides of the bulb that have the LEDs on them. But it’s still plenty bright for most of my uses

The light pattern isn't great
It is bright but the pattern shows up in such a way that it makes things in the dim zones hard to see. It's better than nothing and does produce light.
