Amazing book reminds me how the hardcover books looked when i was a kid. If your gonna buy this i encourage you to spend the extra couple dollars and get the hard cover edition

It was a joy to reach for it on my nightstand. The ribbon placekeeper is a nice touch as well.

The book arrived on time and its petite enough to carry around. I loved the whole old English vibe

I came in expecting the big glamorous Jazz Age love story everyone talks about, and I left with that iconic blue cover face staring at me, those sad eyes and the single tear over the glittering city, feeling kind of hollow in the best way. No spoilers, but this is short, sharp, and so much more cynical than I remembered from high school. Fitzgerald's prose is absolutely gorgeous, every party scene shimmers, and then it all feels empty on purpose. It's not really a romance, it's a takedown of chasing a dream that was never real to begin with. Why four stars instead of five for me? I adored the writing and the atmosphere, but I spent the whole book wanting to shake every single character. They're fascinating, they're tragic, and they're also kind of the worst, which is the point, but it kept me at arm's length emotionally. If you want beautiful sentences, 1920s vibes, and a story that makes you think about ambition, illusion, and the price of wanting too much, read it. It's a classic for a reason, even if it left me sitting there blinking at the last page going, "oh."

This is a very nice product, and I bought it to replace my old, battered 1970 copy of my favorite novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald. I taught this novel for years, and now it’s nice to have a clean copy to read without the need to analyze it now!!

Ugh I'm gonna be so honest, I mostly bought this because pretty (as I already knew the book before) but the pages feel so good and THE DESIGN!!!! Ugh in love!!

It was easy read, humourous and came as a total surprise and I loved it. The narrator, Nick Carraway, lives in a house across the street of the luxurious villa of Jay Gatsby. Nick is affected by Gatsby straight away, becuase he has got such a personality. Gatsby is living American dream, big house, luxurious life style and wild parties. Soon Nick starts a friendship with him and he is pulled into helping him to win back the love of an old flame who is married by now and who happnes to be his own cousin. Daisy Buchanan is a piece of art for sure, and so is Tom Buchanan. It surprised to read how much they were drunk on money and power and their scandalous nature of love and betrayal. It is one compelling and tragic story that will remain forever in my heart. I don't know if I should be sad for Mr. Gatsby or angry at his childish ass for believing in people, but I feel a tug at my heart knowing at the end that nothing matters. His wild parties or shady friendships or wealthy business nothing matters at the end.
