Good story but another terrible leading man
All the other reviews will rave about Tucker I'm sure but the man is trash. As is always the case, the woman, Elisa, has been hit with wave after wave of hardship but continues forward with optimism and accepts the good things life has to offer. She went through absentee parents. The loss of the grandmother who raised her. Her daughter having a congenital heart defect and her husband leaving her because of it. Losing her job unexpectedly and her house being foreclosed on. Yet, she still treats everyone with kindness and opens herself to the world. She's brave and loving. Now Tucker... He lost some friends in the war which is terrible and would be difficult for anyone. Loss is loss regardless of where it happens though. He uses this as an excuse to shut hisself off. He wallows in self pity and decides he has nothing to offer anyone. Ugh. Typical. The man is weak and has given up because something bad happened to him. All that is fine but it's his actions with Elisa that make him trash. He offers her a place to stay, promising she'll be safe and then proceeds to take advantage of the situation. The first time he kisses her is without her consent and while he's holding her 3 year old. No concern for what Elisa wants or how confusing it would be for her daughter. He initiates her intimate encounter they have, but immediately after pushes her away. Once he gets what he wants (sex) he acts like she did something wrong and either says something rude or just ignores her until he wants sex again and repeats the process. It's supposed to be okay because he tells her he can't offer her anything which is good but if it's the case then just leave her alone and stop toying with her emotions. Later, she has a secret she tries to reveal to her but he cuts her off and tells her he knows everything he needs to. Only later he gets jealous and breaks things off because she hasn't told him the secret. Typical. Elisa and especially Daisy deserve so much better than Tuck. Inspite of him I was on pace to give 4 stars but the back third of this book goes off the rails. There is already a lot of drama because Tucker is such a tool, but the author adds in a hidden connection between the two characters that is unbelievable. The odds are just astronomical and it's unnecessary and absurd. Finally the big ending when Tucker finally gets it together is also out of left field and felt like it was written for a different book. It didn't ring true for either main character and completely left out Daisy. I really liked the 1st book in this series but this one was a bit of a disappointment.

Absolute Must Read
WARNING THIS BOOK WILL CAUSE A BOOK HANGOVER...I started the book the day I got it and I KID YOU NOT.. I didn't put it down until I finished it at 4:44AM this morning. Just like 'Must Love Babies', it was a great read. It' hard these days finding a book that you can't put down, but this was definitely one of those. I must say THANK YOU Lynette for such a wonderful read. I look forward to Gaven falling in love with the woman of his dreams. In the mean time, I'll have to check out the Magnolia Brides series so I can see where Tansy and the others started.

Got me in my feelings
Lawd. Tuck Wylder, hot, sexy, ex marine, business man, and now hero. With a deep past that keeps him up at night, he's destined to be alone.Elisa falls at his feet along with her 3 year old Daughter Daisy. Tuck likes his life a certain way, when these two ladies interrupt his life, this couldn't be anymore perfect, or was fate playing a trick on them?I laughed, cried, smiled, and cheered. This story had it all.

Warm hearted small town romance
I really liked Tucker's story. I appreciated his background and the memories and guilt he dealt with. Elisa and her daughter Daisy are just what Tucker needed. I loved Daisy, a cute, energetic part of their lives. They wrestled with their issues and came out on top. I would have liked more of an ending but the town and its residents, the Wylder brothers and Tuck and Elisa are a heart warming read.

Excellent story line and characters
Excellent book. Heartfelt romance, which is the 2nd book in the Must Love Babies trilogy. It takes place in Misty Bottoms, GA. as does the Magnolia Bride trilogy. Amazing story line and characters, this coming from someone who is not a romance novel reader, I truly loved and enjoyed the book, along with all your other books. Lynnette Austin you are an amazing author. Can't wait to see what book 3 brings.
