Did Not Work With My Samsung Tablet
I bought this to specifically use the Dragonfly Red with my Samsung tablet. I normally use the Apple camera adapter for my iPhone with no problems, but when I plug the DragonTail into the tablet, the DAC will power up, but I get no audio. Since I only use it when I travel, I did not notice until it was too late and can no longer return the item. I assumed there wouldn't be any problems since it's an AudioQuest accessory. That was my mistake for not checking when I received it in the mail. So I'll leave this item a 2 star review instead of a 1 star...

Superior sound from your Android device!
Works well with Android phones and tablets, but not all of them. Be sure your Android device is capable of using this USB adapter. If it can, the combination of this adaptor and the Dragonfly Red D to A converter is a real winner. Excellent product.

Good cable but mine was defective
It's obviously well-made but mine doesn't connect to my Samsung S7 phone as securely as I'd like. It loses its connection unless I'm careful and keep the phone in a stable place (e.g., not my pocket). I missed the return window and may see if I can't get warranty coverage.

For the price, a no brainer.
Using between an Onkyo DO-X1A and iFi Micro iDSD black label. Works great and sounds superb. Cable is thick and feels sturdy despite only being a little micro USB connection it doesn't ever come loose or feel unstable. And most importantly the sound quality is instantly better vs a generic cable.

Works great. Not sure if it is any better than a cheaper version, but I have had no issues with it. I definitely do not regret the purchase. I use it with a Nexus 6 and with a Nvidia Shield tablet mostly. I have not had any issues.

Careful, this is MICRO USB to USB A. Not USB C to A.
Given 3 stars as my issue is more with the listing of the product. I bought this thinking it was the USB C to USB A adapter that would be the current standard. Looking back through the advert and the pictures I can't see anywhere that it states that it is in fact a mini USB to USB A adapter. As USB C is now the standard adapter for phones this feels a little disingenuous.I can't speak to the quality of the product as I'll be returning it without having unboxed.

Bargain-hunter beware
When it worked it did exactly what it was supposed to do, though there was no detectable sound difference between this and a cheap OTG cable. Note: I bought it as an Amazon warehouse deal, and the connection to the usb output was very loose, to the point where it kept disconnecting the sound. (Presumably it was a customer return for that reason). If you're considering doing the same to save a couple of quid, beware that this might be the unit you end up getting too.

The build quality of the dragontail is far superior than the cheapo one
I would have given 4 stars if the price was cheaper. I have the non branded cheapo usb otg which I have been using for several weeks with my HD600. The difference between these two is only the small distortion which came with the cheapo one. The build quality of the dragontail is far superior than the cheapo one. 4 stars only, because of the price. Definitely recommended for dragonfly red users out there.

USB cable, probably too expensive - it is their 'Carbon' range so higher up Audioquest's cable hierarchy. It's quite stiff so if feels like avoiding bending the cable is a good idea - not great for stacking a phone/dac since it's but some tensions on the micro USB port so you have to have everything in a long line - not particularly convenient.I can't judge sound quality influence as i'm either using this with relatively low-end phone/spotify/IEMs or a car stereo. I'd probably recommend something more flexible as I think the convenience is more useful than outright quality for this application.

I'm really disappointed with my purchase
I'm really disappointed with my purchase. The cable doesn't fit well with neither the dragonfly, nor the mini-usb port of any Android device I tried – tested with a Lg G4 and a Samsung S7. Maybe the devices I used had larger than normal ports, so I'm not complaining too much about that, but it is unacceptable that this wouldn't be a perfect fit for the Dragonfly itself. Thanks to that, it is prone to losing its connection if I so much as touch my cellphone.I could make do by stuffing some strips of paper into the ports, so I'm not gonna go through the hassle of shipping it back, but I'll certainly not trust AudioQuest with this type of accessory any more. So future buyers beware, and consider third party options.
