Versatile bag with lots of storage + expandable space while being lightweight and easy to carry.
The media could not be loaded. I've been getting my travel bags together and had a situation where I wanted to fit something in my bag, but didn't have the space. I'd seen bags with the pop out side panniers and when this popped up I wanted I figured I'd give it a try.First thing I noticed was how much room there was. 35L is pushing the size of my camp bag and if I brought this and a handle bar bag I could fit all my camp supplies. It fits the daily gear I wanted to take and what I already had in my other bag without even needing the side panniers, which is great for if I want to pick additional items up. They also seem to be lined inside so I'm guessing could be good for food or cold drinks. Maybe not something soaking, but if you get something like groceries or carry a 6 pack it shouldn't mess it up. There is a rain cover for the bag as well to keep it from the rain on the outside.Another huge benefit is the handle as well as strap. So when I go in somewhere I just have to un attach it and carry it over my shoulder or in my hand. The size is great for camera gear, flashes and some smaller tripods. There is extra space if you wanted to add some padding or just put another bag in the bag. Also could be a great bag for a camp trip and can hold almost everything I would need and can just take it off at the site. Groceries were my original inspiration and I'm sure that will be a necessity at some point. The only heads up is that the back pocket is short for my taller water bottle though it could work if yours has an indention in the middle (it could also be that my rack curves up in that area as well.) Could be perfect for a cup, mug, can, or like a camp cup and it does drawstring shut, but taller bottles might need some modification or a different placement as the drawstring will likely not "draw" over them. Though my bike doesn't have a bottle holder cage on it's own I was wearing a jersey which ended up being even better to grab the bottle with its storage pockets. Some other feedback is that I would like the option to make the bottom stiff, with an insert or something similar, nothing permanent as I like that this folds and is flexible. Just something to keep the bottom stiff where it goes in the rack. That being said I'm super happy with it. It folds down so can be easily tucked away, roomy, weighs very little which was important to me (you would be surprised how heavy some of these bags can be.)

Not exactly waterproof.
So:Pros- Plenty of space! I can fit all my foodstuffs (tortillas, PBJ, trail mix etc) with room for waterproof boots and other sundries. You can remove the panniers, and have more storage in the outside pouches. I just put foldable things in them, fold 'em up and zip 'em up. No hanging panniers! Seems pretty sturdy. Heading out soon on a never-ending around-the-world bicycle tour and so we'll see how the bag holds up after a year or so. No problems with stitching coming loose. ALL zippers seem well-attached and I regularly pack/unpack the bike so they see lots of use. So far so good.Cons- NOT waterproof. "resistant," sort of. Went for a 24 mile ride today in light to regular rain. Stuffed front and rear bags (different makers) with tissue papers rolls. Rear bag (diff' maker) stayed dry. The West Biking pannier bag did not. There was 'bleed-through' and the tissue got slightly wet. Opening the top of the bag, you could see the moisture collected there.Mind you: the bag came with a bright yellow (I think...I've got an extra one so?) 'waterproof' cover, which I did not use.Pretty important since I'll be riding at least 5 years (less if I croak off) on my officially-titled "Ride Till I Die" tour. I'm sure I'm going to get rained on in several parts of the world and not have shelter one or more times. But again, there's an extra yellow rain cover, so next time I'll attach that to see how waterproof IT is.For the price: quality bag. The 'panniers' are pretty nifty-they're like little bags that hand down once you open the side storage. Again, the side storage is more handy to me than having panniers of any type hanging down off the bike. I'm trying to go 'light' as possible, with everything mounted center-line on the bike. So I can store clothes in the 'panniers,' fold them up and zip the storage back up all neat and tidy.

Great bike bag!
Lots of storage with the fold down bags. Easily attaches to your bike. Nice looking design.

Doesn't Attach Great
I really liked this bag. However, found that it did not attach very well and will come off when riding. Would not recommend this product.

Great bag! And with a couple of additions I made it MIK compatible with my Trek rack.
Love the dual zipper configuration that allows swift opening. Size is great, and panniers are a good size and tough. It would be nice to have a small zippered pouch above the panniers, but I use the pannier pocket for that with little problem .

Really nice bag
Quite pleased. Bag includes rain cover, lots of space, all the problems noted in earlier reviews seem to have been fixed. For example there is not problem with the length of the velcro on the mounting straps, and the bag came with a flat stiff piece for the bottom when ends the shifting of the items in the bag. May update this after I use it more.

There is so much going on with this bag!
I think this is a GREAT bag. If I had to pick out one flaw it would be not having connection straps on the same side (the back) where the cinched bottle pocket is. Because everyone's bike rack is different, that added strap or straps would really help stabilize it on any rack. At this moment there are only three sides protected. I have 'managed' with the current set up but I'm also contemplating shortening one of the straps to get a tighter fit. I haven't placed anything but tools/locks in it yet and I'll update my review after I make a visit to the market.Front (by the seat area),Sides (via the under straps.)I didn't even realize it but it has an extender section (similar to a suitcase when it gets too full), that wasn't a feature I needed or looked for but I'm happy it's there. This bag would blow away the competition if they just added those back straps.

good bag but not if sensitive to chemical odors
Good size trunk but would like just a bit more capacity; Velcro attach seems secure but a little "floppy"; Love the ability to fold out or tuck away the panniers which have more capacity that first appeared. Biggest problem: have to remove the bag and store it outside every time I put the bike away. Description says nylon but reeks of the chemical smell from Chinese plastics. Too strong to keep inside since it permeates every room. Kept in the open air for 6 weeks with no effect; kept in bag with baking soda -- no effect. Haven't tried a soak in dish soap yet. Good product if your nose-blind but any degree of MCS in anyone in the house and they'll feel ill from the smell.
