I love beavers <3This is an absolutely fantastic read and I'd recommend it to anyone that would listen. Lots of insight and information.

How the author managed to wade through the layers of red tape put before him baffles me but he did and in the process wrote a funny but informative and entertaining book well worth a read!

I bought this book knowing that I was going to a talk by the author. The book like Derek's talk is very informative about the reintroduction of beavers and their ability to change the landscape for the better.

Brilliant writer and amazing larger than life character.

Amazing book, wonderfully written. Beavers are so misunderstood but they do the most amazing work in restoring our environment. This books explains easlily and clearly what has happened to the beavers over years, why they were no longer in the UK and how one brave and commited person found the way to get them reintrodduced despite all the difficulties.

Very much enjoyed, loved the information about how things happened etc, very good follow on from Wilding by Isabella Tree which links into the Beavers

I enjoyed this book, written with great humour. I am now a firm beaver advocate!

A charming, folksy story, maybe a little light on some of the scientific details I was looking for, but a good guy working on a good project is worth knowing about and supporting by buying his book.
