Great ladder
Easy assembly! I did add fine sand and then filled the legs with water (as the instructions tell you). I recommend doing this. One bag of play sand will work! Our pool is 22' round with a 1-3/4 HP pump that creates quite the current, add a couple of kids and the current/ wants are increased! My point? The ladder did NOT sway or move!Love it, highly recommended!******* UPDATE 2/23/2023 *******I have had people ask if this ladder will hold up to salt water pools. While my pool is chlorinated - I thought I'd add to my review with some answers to this question and address issues ANY salt or chlorinated pool can face with metal. (Keep in mind only the screws on this ladder are metal)! The screws are stainless steel - so it would be my assumption that they would last in salt water. The plastic the ladder is made out of is high quality and would last a long time - regardless of salt water.I live in the northeast and my ladder is only in the pool from June to September. If you live somewhere where the ladder stays in the pool year round - simply check the screws for corrosion throughout the year - but like I said the screws are stainless steel and SHOULD be suitable, (Read on for my technical info regarding stainless). Here's some technical info:Type 316 stainless steel is the ONLY type of stainless steel that will withstand saltwater. You can contact the manufacture of this ladder and ask them what the screws are made of. If they are not type 316 (marine grade) go to the hardware store with the ones that come with the ladder, match them up with appropriate size(s) and replace them with type 316 stainless! It will only add a few dollars, but will be well worth it.I will also tell ALL pool owners (salt or chlorine) this:1) Make sure their pool is GROUNDED properly grounded. This will prevent galvanic corrosion which could rust your pool handrails and ladders.2) Keeping you PH in balance is also very important. Low PH (acidic) water could damage your hand rails and pool ladders even though they are stainless steel, or simply have stainless steel screws! This is partially due to the fact that they are submersed and are not able to be the in a protective oxide layer which is formed in the presence of oxygen. KEEP your pools PH level in the recommended range of 7.2-7.6!!I went into this deeper than I needed to - but I thought it would help others as well.

Sturdy
Our last pool ladders snapped so we were in the market for a new one. I’m glad we went with this one! It’s very sturdy and was easy to install. It seems like it will last a long time.

painful steps
It is hard to imagine that the steps could be more uncomfortable for bare feet. They are rounded up with a ridge across the top. Too bad, because it is easy to assemble and install and is quite sturdy. I guess I will look for a pair of beach shoes to wear in the pool.
