Troubadours On The Rhine

The interpretation of these more traditional numbers by this intimate trio is beautiful. I am a fan of Loreena and already have all of them on earlier albums, but it is still a great purchase. For those that want to sample before buying, just hop over to Loreena's own website, Quinlan Road, samples are posted there. I have also read negative feedback because the CD is presented in a cardboard sleeve; well as I am old enough to have a large collection of vinyl, as well as CDs and MP3s, that is how all albums used to be packed! It is much more sustainable than a plastic jewel case and should be applauded. Back to the music, it really is lovely, if you don't know Loreena's work this is a perfect starting point, if you do then still get it. You may have some of the tracks, but the interpretation makes it worthwhile.

I just love Loreena Mckennit and have a few of her albums. I love the different instruments and styles. It's a personal thing, music. I find it really relaxing. Enjoyed this album very much. Wish I could be more articulate.

Quality music as you would expect from an artist like Loreena Mckennitt!

Beautiful and stripped down renditions of great songs by Loreena for some German radio Broadcast. Nothing new here, nothing really special or different in the interpretation but you can definitly feel the close and intimate bounds between the musicians.

The usual high standard from Loreena McKennitt. If you enjoy her lovely music then you will love this album. Beautiful Irish songs sound by a wonderful performer.
