Kitchen Basics Original Seafood Stock, 32 fl oz

First time using it but I wouldn't dream of making another bisque, soup or chowder without it!!

So good for making etoufee!! Will be keeping this in the pantry!

This is a recommendation to try this seafood stock but with caveats. I usually make my own seafood stock but that takes a lot of time and I didn't have enough shellfish shells needed to make my own, so I thought I'd try a shortcut by using this stock. Honestly, I did not like the flavor of this stock out of the package but I added a bunch of shrimp shells, more carrots, onions and celery and that did the trick. I think this stock is made of fish and shellfish, which is probably why it tasted off to me. Normally, I make my stock out of shellfish...no fish whatsoever. For those who really want a seafood stock using fish, you'll probably really enjoy this product. FYI, I've ordered more but will continue to doctor it for our tastes.

I love this stock. It is a shame that I had to refuse the order. It was not that the item was bad, it was just bad shipping and not through the fault of the company. It came to my door crushed and leaking because the freight company was not careful with the box. I was so disappointed because I am down to my last three cartons. I will wait a little bit and reorder. I just want to say that this is a really good product and makes the fish juicy and flaky at the same time when cooking with the fish stock.
