They work as expected

Excellent pots. Solid construction, and they stood up to a teenager soldering them into his bass.As the story goes, my son's friend found the bass laying on the side of the road. It was missing two tuning pegs and the bridge was similarly missing parts. Anyway, his guardian (I forget if he's with parents or grandparents) told him he couldn't keep it because they didn't think he'd fix it, and he agreed he probably wouldn't fix it, so he gave it to my son. We replaced the mechanical parts one weekend (thanks to Amazon's two-day shipping, because I'm not the custodial parent) and he was able to play it--sorta.Last weekend, he replaced the electronics using these pots and the caps that I also reviewed. Got him plugged into the mixer with a DI box and my old Yamaha guitar amp (one of the first transistor amps), and the bass sounded fantastic. Now, I realize that pots are really just variable resistors and as such don't do much for the timbre of an instrument, but they are in the position where they can stand in the way of good timbre, and these did not. The bass just sounded great. So great that I texted the ex (my son's mom) to tell her about it.Today, I am a proud dad of a son who took a trashed bass and reconditioned it and it sounds like a new bass, and he put these pots in it.

These "500K Big Control Pots" worked great for a guitar project. They had a solid feel and made good volume and tone controls.

Two of the 5 were near 200K. Not 250k +- 10% as is normal. Now that could be ok or perhaps you want that. That is a bit low for guitar tone applications. What you get may be all over 250k. Low price is a consideration of course. What is shipped on the next order may be better or worse. Not intending to be negative but just what I saw on my order.

I got these for a realistic prop guitar I am making for a cosplay and they are perfect.
