great knife more than I expected
This is a great knife. I bought the buck hoodlum about a year ago and thought that was the greatest. Now that I sprung for a little more money and got the jungalas I am even happier. This thing is massive and heavy duty. But the nice thing is even though its so big it is still very comfortable and pleasant feeling in your hand. Knife came sharp enough to shave the hair from your arm. I love this thing! Chops good not to bad to carry I mounted mine on my pack. Holds a good edge even when chopping. I didn't buy the sheath as I make my own and I think theirs are over priced. But the knife is worth every penny and a few more. If you can only afford one big knife in my opinion this is the one to have. I can see this giving many years if great service and it has a lifetime no bs warranty.

Beast of a blade...!!!
Huge... very well made... excellent fit and finish... sharp as a razor... ciating far superior to that used on sister blade (Ontario RTAK2) and I have both. The sheath is a MUST for this BEAST OF A BLADE...I LOVE IT...!!!

No Sheath Included!
In the reviews people are talking about, it's pricy because of the kydex sheath and most of you won't scroll down to the end of the page where you can read 'No sheath included'...Why the hell is this knife sold without sheath. It comes with a short manual how to use the sheath in 100 different ways but without the sheath....There is an item description, and that's where they should say NO SHEATH INCLUDEDThis is a rip off!

RAT or RTAK II?
If you're considering this knife, I assume you already know about the RTAK II, from Ontario Knives. They look damn near the same. The steal is slightly different, although, I can't seem to tell. The type of abuse I give these knives makes the "how long they stay sharp" question figurative. There is a good chance that you also know that this knife has a better case than the RTAK. This is true, and I found that the RTAK doesn't fit perfectly in the RAT's case, but the RAT fits fine in the RTAK case. For the money, I hate to say it now that I bought this, I'd go for the RTAK II. The sheath can be modified to work better, and the knife is a solid amount cheaper. Not to say this knife isn't TOP NOTCH, it's just that you can get the same knife for $100 cheaper.

Very large camp knife
This is an outstanding large winter camp knife. Great for batoning through wood, this is very similar to the Ontario RTAK II knife. There are many reviews for that knife to read further about it. Nutnfancy also has YouTube video that goes extensively over that blad and its uses, highly recommend. The difference in price is largely the outstanding kydex sheath this blade comes with compared to the flimsy Ontario. That is the reason I purchased this blade instead of the RTAK.

Excellent tool
One of my favorite knives. This could be considered a small sword and feels like you're holding a lawnmower blade. Great for wood processing, shelter making, even backpacking (if you can afford the weight). Excellent consrtruction, holster is a nylon/Molle style holster which is ok. personally I'd prefer a form of kydex. Great for the money, my next purchase will be an esee 3 or 4.
