This ironing board is perfect. It’s very sturdy and both looks and feels high quality. The adjustable height options are great and it’s really easy to use. It’s not too heavy, and the wider surface lets you iron more of your clothes at once, which makes the whole process quicker and easier. Feels like it’ll last forever!

Positives: Arrived on time. Sturdy ironing board with larger-than-average which makes ironing sheets/duvet covers etc a bit easier. Feet on one I received are stable so there isn't loads of rocking when you're trying to iron. The height is adjustable and it can go up quite high, so is good if you're on the taller side. You can also use it when sitting down - as long as the surface your sitting on is not too low. (Check measurements before purchasing to make sure it meets your requirements.) Negatives: ironing board is very sturdy as stated, but that is partly to do with the weight of it; it is quite heavy so if you have joint/ mobility issues or have difficult carrying heavier items (for example, if you're a Senior Citizen) it's probably not the best type for you. I tend to 'walk' it around on the odd occasion that I wish to transfer it to a different room and need to move it over a greater distance. Whilst it can be used when sitting down, it's tricky trying to fit your legs in. It's also a bit stiff so when you want to adjust the height you need to rotate it 90 degrees and rest it sideways on the ground to adjust the height. But that also means that once it's in place, it doesn't slip out of position. (N. B. The metal stand that you rest the iron on does not have any holes in but whether or not that's a 'negative/ positive' depends on your preference obviously.) Overall, I am pleased with the purchase.

This has made me actually enjoy ironing! Ridiculous to say that but I had been using a Tefal board with my steam generator and now realise that this board makes the steam highly efficient and so much faster. Also, it is quite big so the surface area makes it easier to iron!

I hated our old ironing board, it was rubbish, and typically it didn't give me any warning on when it'd break down. So half way through my ironing it literally dropped half way. The new board arrived. Pathetically packed I might add, and it is pretty heavy... 5ft gal and not really into the whole keeping healthy lifestyle. So it was a bit of a challenge getting it up the stairs and setting it up. It was heavy before I put the Steam Iron on it, and after it really is pretty much impossible to drag the board anywhere if you have a carpet. But it is divine. A great ironing board and an awesome steam iron really does make all the difference. You really do get what you pay for. So if you're dilly-dallying on whether or not you want to pay for an expensive ironing-board just buy it. You really won't regret. I've noticed way less creasing in the clothes because the ironing cover is so smooth. The board is pretty big and it cuts down on the time I'm strategically placing the shirts and trousers. And my biggest worry of all, if it'd be suitable for someone of 5ft, it is perfect. Goes even lower than I expected it too. Good for small and big people! One quick thing I want to point out is Brabantia have a great customer service team, and this was before I even bought the ironing board. (I wasn't sure if this model would be suitable for small heights). They replied within 3 days, I think). And registering the product was a doddle. Didn't have to go searching for numbers on the board, or anything. They have everything online that you need. Oh and someone reviewed that they found it annoying that they had to keep shuffling up and down the board to put the iron back on the generator... why not just leave it on the board like me? I assume you're going to pick it back up again in a second? And yes I did notice the steam wire thingy getting stuck in the space between the holder and board, but I quick flick of the wrist and it comes back out again. I might try stuffing a paper or something in there like you suggested. :) I really can't wait to iron again, which is incredibly sad I know. But even with an expensive iron I've never been able to achieve 100% crease free clothes and now I have. *Sigh* I LOVE IT!

I had a brabantia ironing board back in the 80s which I kept for around 30 years and decided to purchased another well known brand as I wanted a wider board as I like to iron my bedding, however I wasn’t happy with the several I had purchased they were flimsy & extremely wobbly when ironing & I never felt confident about leaving the iron on the plate. This ironing board is a complete game changer it’s a bit pricey but definitely worth the money it’s extremely sturdy & extra wide it folds easily with an extra large iron plate to place your iron.

Very sturdy and stable ironing surface. I like that the board is a mesh steel under the pad so steam passes through. My old board would trap moisture between the metal board and pad that would eventually cause the ironing pad and cover to become wet. The extra few inches in width is really helpful and means less moving of the fabric. This board also adjusts to a higher position than my old board, so it’s easier for taller people. Also really like the tray at the end of the board. Plenty of room for my iron and a spray bottle. Definitely not a light weight board like some of the less expensive ones I’ve had from big box stores over the years. Worth the investment.

Je suis ravie de mon achat ! La table est vraiment magnifique, avec une grande surface de repassage très confortable, idéale même pour les draps et les vêtements longs. Elle est très stable, rien ne bouge pendant l’utilisation, et la qualité des matériaux est au rendez-vous

Ich bin mit dem Brabantia Bügelbrett sehr zufrieden. Die Verarbeitung wirkt hochwertig und stabil, nichts wackelt oder fühlt sich billig an. Besonders gefällt mir die standfeste Konstruktion – selbst bei etwas Druck bleibt alles sicher an seinem Platz. Die Bügelfläche ist angenehm groß, sodass auch größere Kleidungsstücke problemlos gebügelt werden können. Der Bezug ist gut gepolstert und sorgt für ein gleichmäßiges Bügelergebnis. Auch die Höhenverstellung funktioniert einfach und zuverlässig, sodass man bequem arbeiten kann. Insgesamt ein durchdachtes und langlebiges Produkt, das den Alltag deutlich erleichtert.
