Rubbish non-stick coating
I like the principle of the air-fryer and it is easy to use.Worked fine for about 14/15 months then I noticed it was losing the non-stick coating This got progressively worse so I contacted Tower to make a claim under the extended warranty. It was now 20 months old and by now had lost most of the coating. Towers reply was this was normal wear and tear and if I wanted a replacement I would have to pay for it.Very disappointing.

Excellent
I have always wanted to own an airfryer, but I couldn't afford an expensive one. This was on offer at Amazon at a price which was affordable. Some of the reviews state that this is not as good as the more expensive brands of Airfryer, but as I have not used them, I have no experience of whether they are better or not.I am extremely pleased with this airfryer. It is easy to use, I was able to plug it in and use it almost immediately after cleaning the basket. It is easy to clean, although I recommend cleaning it soon after use, to stop the grease from drying on it. It can't be put in the dishwasher, or washed with abrasive sponges. It is easy to wipe off though. So far I have cooked chicken breasts, it fits 3-4 chicken breasts in the basket, they came out nice and tender without drying out. I used dry rubs to flavour them, as you can't use very liquid marinades in it.I have cooked both frozen and homemade chips in it, with good results. I have found that if you put too many chips in the basket then you need to shake or turn them over so that you get even cooking. The alternative is cooking them in smaller batches. Chips take roughly 18-20 minutes, about the same time as oven chips, but the result is much better.I've also cooked homemade onion bhaji and homemade croutons. They were both very good. There are lots of recipes online, and Amazon also sell recipe books for this exact model of airfryer. There are guidelines in the instruction booklet of recommend cooking times and temperatures.I am very pleased that I purchased this, I have already used it a lot and I plan to make other recipes. I recommend buying this airfryer.

Just used for the first time and am so impressed
Bought this after doing a lot of comparing with others and thought I’d plump on this model. Easy to set up, and just used for the first time and the results were fabulous!Have some new potatoes that needed using up and made little wedges with them.I made my own liner with parchment paper with hole around with a hole punch to help circulate the hot air. And used a few sprays of low cal cooking spray. They are so tasty and was ready in 15 mins (I preheated first for a few mins).I also tried it with banana coated VERY lightly with honey, and the result was glorious. Had it with low fat Greek yoghurt. I have also tried a Pinch of Nom recipe for crispy shredded beef (the picture doesn’t do it justice) and came out so much better than oven baked.Easy to clean after it has cooled down. This has already become a kitchen staple for sure!

My daughter chose the Tower over the Ninja
My daughter liked my Ninja air fryer, and I thought I would buy one for her and my son in law for Yuletide. However when we were looking around both of them plumped for the Tower TI7021 family size. There are only two of them, but liked the space capacity as it is quite big, and easily be workable for a family of four. When I purchased the air fryer beginning of October I got a really good price £55.55 and used my vouchers so got a good deal. However the price has increased possibly because of the air fryer trend currently, so now at review the Tower went up to £69.99, then reduced currently at review £64.00. Even though the prices fluctuate, compared to what price I paid for my Ninja, this one looks just as good, the shape is more curvy than mine, but this one does look interesting. The dimensions of the Tower 11.40 x 14.4W x 12.8H cmsThe Tower does hold a big capacity 4.3 litres which is pretty decent for a family.Usual methods of cooking, much the same as any other ie, does great roast potatoes, I part cook my potatoes, then roast for twenty minutes and the potatoes are perfect, the Tower can also re heat, steam, bake etc.I rarely use oil but if I do just a smidge, likewise the Tower can make cooking pleasant. Very easy to understand how to work it, it isn’t rocket science, it’s just a table top oven basically. Trial and error..Perfectly cooked all the way through, so no scorching or burning.Saves up to 50% electricity and cooks food 30% faster, especially small chickens.Cooking beef as in stewing beef is divine.Temps normal like your own cooker, in fact if I lived on my own, I wouldn’t have a cooker, just the Tower and a microwave… so much cheaper, and the microwave is pennies to run.Now the Tower has that wow factor, a 3 year guarantee, that is so superior on some makes and models. However you will need to go online to activate the two years to receive.I have no way of testing this, but the company have stated some facts for example the Tower air fryer could well save you £186 a year on electricity..Air fryers do get dirty so be prepared for brown fleck marks like in the main oven sides and base, these are hard to remove, I use soda crystals for my fryer, however as a tip buy the silicone or paper cases, this saves a lot time, and keeps the fryer clean. The silicone last longer as can be washed, but the paper ones are thrown away. The basket is 10cm deep and 20cm diameter. For recipes I googled and actually joined up on one site, and frequently get recipes in my inbox free, Pinterest does great family and solo recipes also… I have a white board in which I use ie, chicken legs, 15- 20 minutes, air fry.. just until I got used to it… saves keep looking up times. All in all the Tower fryer isn’t in the same league at the Ninja, however when my Ninja dies on me, I would chose the Tower definitely, the price here is a 3rd to what I paid, and my daughter chose the Tower over anything else. For up to four people, it’s a no brainier, the tower is fabulous.I recommend the Tower 100%⭐️Thank you to the seller⭐️I hope my review helps you

Tower Air Fryer - no manufacturer's warranty after 32 days, very disappointing!
After one month of usage the bottom of the bowl started pilling off, holes in the Teflon coating appeared showing the steel underneath. This is clearly not supposed to happen in 32 days.It happened just two days after the 30-day amazon prime window for easy return, so I contacted Amazon customer service, they said the fryer is under manufacturer's warranty and were trying to put me in touch with the manufacturer. Hoped to return and be refunded. Amazon tried to call Tower, it turned out Tower responds only to emails. Then Amazon gave me their customer service email to contact them. I did sent an email to Tower with all the images attached (picture of the fault and my receipt). After a week they answered by email, citing some legislations explaining that the manufacturer DOES NOT PROVIDE A WARRANTY but only the retailer. So all the descriptions of "3 years warranty and peace of mind" in their product descriptions turned out to be a lie!Not having manufacturer's warranty is too bad, will never ever buy Tower products again. Not having a telephone for CS is also too bad.It took almost a week to Tower customer service to respond to my email with copy/paste answer saying there is no manufacturer's warranty.Luckily I am amazon prime customer and Amazon CS is great, but Tower lost me as a customer and also many other potential customers who will read my review.I am clearly not recommending the product and the brand, not only for the fault and lack of manufacturer's warranty (cannot do less than one star, sorry)In addition I find some details are not designed in the most optimal way - for example the manual controls are polished which makes it difficult to hold them tight and adjust time and temperature if your hands are even slightest wet or oily, which is normal while cooking. Why would you polish a surface which usage is based on resistance, for me that is lack of engineering common sense.
