You cannot beat this printer
I've used this 6 months now so I feel I can give it a quality review. I am using this as a work from home printer that I could use sparingly. I ordered the blue which took a bit longer shipping but was worth it as it is a nice ocean blue color. TLDR version: this printer hasn't given me a single problem, connected to my wifi in minutes, and anyone connected to my wifi can easily print from their phone. I didn't have any issues setting it up. It was fast and easy. I never needed support, connected to wifi quickly and then my phone was connected to it like that. Anything from my phone I wanted to print, was done quickly. Ink is cheap, so if you aren't doing this for a business invisible ink seems pointless. It took 6 months before I bought a new cartridge but all our uses are different. It also scans, and faxes(which I wasn't sure if it did at the time) and it's really easy. It's done from a tray on top, separate from where printer paper is located, and you can access from the app and save those documents to PDF, fax, or any number of things. I've had friends come over with different phones, connect to my wifi, and print no problem from their phones. I haven't had any troubleshooting, and for the price of this model and it's convenient size I feel like it's a steal. Was expecting so many problems after reading reviews and I've had zero. Great product that makes things super easy from your phone.

Nice little printer
I just received my order today. I ordered the blue. I bought it for very occasional printing and copying. I am a senior citizen, the reason i mention that is there set up was easy and we'll explained. I sent my first print through my cell phone and it came out beautifully. The printer does not do 2 sided printing but a little trick i used is, taking all but one piece of paper out start the print and because there is no more paper the machine will prompt you to fill the paper holder after the first page prints. Because there is no paper the machine will stop printing and prompt for more paper, giving you time to take the first page flip it over and re-insert it back into the paper holder. Then push the flashing paper button and the machine will automatically feed the page through and print your second page. It's a nice compact little printer. I gave it a 4 star because it does print very slow so i would not recommend it for someone in a hurry.

Don't Bother
I got this piece of junk to replace a great HP all in one that I had for nearly 10 years. I was short on cash, and banked on the HP name that I was getting at least a basic printer/scanner/fax. I WAS WRONG. First, instructions were non-existent. You don't even get a product diagram showing you where to load paper, how to load ink cartridges, or how to scan. I had to look up tutorials online. They are not linked to the crappy HP program you get, which is outrageously complex and stupid at the same time and really shows how lackluster HP has gotten. The printer ink that comes with the printer lasted exactly three print jobs. Yep. 3. All less than 5 pages. The replacement ink is expensive, and I haven't bought any because it is cheaper for me to take my print jobs to Office Max and pay to have it printed there than it is at home. There is high pressure to link up to their auto-ink replacement program, which sounds like an utter scam. I kept the stupid thing thinking at least I had something I can scan with, and keep my papers electronically. I have had it less than a year. The feed deck is so narrow you have to hold your document on to it, or it just slips off when you try to scan. Today it would not feed my paper properly into the scanner, one side won't feed at all, so it casually ripped apart a TAX DOCUMENT that I need for my income taxes, so YAY now I have to get a replacement. Thank you HP. So in less than a year, I have a real piece of electronic junk on my desk that is utterly worthless. Do not be fooled into buying this thing. Would have given it -0- stars if that had been an option.

I purchased this printer and it works just fine. Some reviews on amazon and a few other websites claim that the setup for this printer is "impossible". Either these people are completely inept at computers or they have a defective item. Many claim the instructions are too hard so I will do my best to explain it here. First off It requires you to install from the CD, so it's not plug and play. Once you have plugged the printer into your computer and turned it on, you will then need to install the ink cartridges. Open up the front panel that has the HP logo on it. The ink cartridge head should automatically reposition itself for you so you can install the cartridges. (Make sure the printer is turned ON when you do this). After you have done that you will need to install the drivers from the CD that is included. (or you can download the software online) Once you do that you're almost done. It will ask to install not really necessary software like to make calender's and other things. you can choose to not install that. I recommend then opening up the HP deskjet 3700 series software and click on "Manage Your Printer" and print a diagnostic page. If everything is aligned and there is no streaks on the page as the test say's then you're done. You can now start using your printer. I did a diagnostic print myself and everything was perfect nothing else was needed on my part. Printer prints fine and it prints pretty fast over all. The only "con" of this machine is that the paper feeder is at the top of the printer. It would save more room with people who have full on computer desks if the paper feeder was on the bottom in a slot.

Let me preface this by saying I'm a pretty tech-savvy person. I don't usually need to use manuals when it comes to things like printers or other computer peripheral devices, because usually they're very simple and easy to sort out on their own. But setting up the wireless connection on this printer (as well as the HP Instant Ink feature) was a lot more painful than it should have been. I think most of my issues were a result of this printer only being able to connect to 2.4GHz wifi networks - it cannot connect to 5GHz wifi networks. Luckily I have a router that broadcasts both types. Next, none of the connection instructions worked for me - following the instructions in the manual did not work. I had to watch several videos and even then, those instructions didn't seem to work either. Finally, I had to download some sort of "Printer Doctor" software from the HP website and I had to plug the printer into my computer with a printer cable, and only then could I connect to the printer. On top of all this, the next time I turned on the printer, I had to go through the ENTIRE PROCESS all over again because it was like my computer forgot the printer - it was still listed in my printer devices section, but had the "Offline" status and was not able to print. So now I just leave the printer on (I think it goes into a power-saving/standby mode after awhile) so that hopefully I don't have to repeat all this again. But aside from these issues, the printer itself works well when connected and the print quality is great. Hopefully you have better luck connecting it than I did, because it really is a great printer!

Perfect printer! It’s so easy to use and it’s compact so doesn’t take up too much space. I was worried about set up as some of the reviews mentioned it was hard, but I had nothing to worry about it was super easy! As long as you’re decent with technology you shouldn’t have a problem. The scanning was easy too. Also I love that you can print and scan documents directly from your phone as well. 10/10 would recommend this printer to anyone I don’t have a bad thing to say about it.

While I can appreciate how lightweight and compact this unit is, this is literally the WORST printer I've ever bought. Printing takes forever and scanning can only be done one page at a time. Connecting the printer to WIFI was an absolute atrocity and it just barely worked when connecting it to my computer directly via USB. I thought I might just not be able to figure out technology (cue midlife crisis), but the tech support that remoted into my laptop couldn't even figure it out. The printer was showing as ready, but the drivers would always show as unavailable, despite uninstalling and reinstalling both driver and printer on my laptop MULTIPLE times and having it connected to my laptop via USB (we'd given up on wireless connection completely by that point). I ended up fighting with it for an entire two days before caving and buying a Canon Pixma all-in-one. It took me all of two minutes and zero aspirin to set up. I have returned this product and will likely never buy another HP printer again. Don't let the price fool you; this printer is absolute trash.

The printer portion of it is pretty straight forward and quality is decent. The ink does dry up quite fast, so don't count on getting the full alotted pages unless you use it consistently in a short period of time. The scanner portion of this printer is terrible, the feed is reverse from printing and often does not work properly. When it takes the feed, it does not go straight so you end up with a crooked image. Not really that great of a scanner but as a printer it is ok.
