1991 Oldsmobile Delta 88
Fit perfectly ! Exact replacement for a 1991 Olds Delta 88. The installations is a tight fit - a small hammer with a block of wood is required for the friction fit. A Extra set of hands may be useful to avoid impact transference to column shifter .5 Stars !

Suits Caprice 1990
This shift knob was exactly the same that I was looking for, to replace the old broken one in my Caprice 1990.It fits for the same and thanks a lot for manufacturing this part and making it available on line, thanks to Amazon.Without this piece the gear lever will look very ugly; like a rat tail.Shape wise is excellent; will published and matches withe gear lever colour. Now fixing it was not easy; it is not threaded; it becomes as two pieces and hence it can be fixed by means of applying some pressure on the knob with extra care not to break any part in this mechanism. In fact as some of the reviewers said, cannot be described clearly but in short; the mechanic has applied some glue, called M-seal, to fix both parts coherently together and then added little grease in that canal and pushed it inside with little hammering on the black knob.Eventually he managed to make in the gear lever as it should be, and in fact it became so beautiful and fitting exactly in place.Attached some photos for mor clarity; before and after fixing. You need to be careful not to break it while fixing it, otherwise you’ll run to use some glue.

It wasn't a perfect fit...
...nor did it go on without breaking where the bottom segment prongs fit into the top segment holes. However, I used zip ties to span the gap where it fits on and super glued the top segment to the gear shifter. As a result, it looks almost normal, and other than the lower segment piece not actually bring attached to anything, such that it "spins" in the location where it sits pinned between my zip ties and the glued-on top segment. This is a little hard to explain unless you have the piece to look at, but suffice it to say that while it is not an exact match for the OEM part that it replaces, with a little ingenuity, you can make it work. It also may make a difference with other years/models, but I used it on an 1989 Chevy Caprice.
