Useful filters
Nice to have these filters in my "toolbox". Metal built. Using them is relatively easy (one needs a bit of practice). Good buy

Saludos Jade.

Good item for quick checks on whether gemstones are real or not.
I am very happy with these filters. I started practicing with them the minute I got them and have been checking stones on and off since. I know I need more practice with using them as I am still having trouble determining the exact shades/tones of color to be able to sort the different stones I have been checking out (red tourmaline, ruby, garnet, spinel, etc. for the ruby filter and green tourmaline, chrysoprase, emerald, nephrite, peridot , etc.).These filters look and feel nice. They have a nice heft to them and they do the job quite well if you are trying to figure out if a stone is real or just lead glass or just quartz.

These DONT WORK!
These appear to be nothing more than welding goggle glass. It doesn't matter how bright a light I use to try to look at them. I cannot see anything thru the filter including the gemstone I am looking at. I have a 325 lumen and a 660 lumen flashlight which will cast a beam of light over 600 yards. Don't waste your money. I bought both the Chelsea and Ruby filters and neither of them work. They also did not come with any instructions. That's a good tip off that they are not what they claim to be

VERY GOOD OPTICAL LENS
Very useful tools for Rock Hounds and Gem Collectors. They are quality instrument well worth the price. You could spend a lot more money and see no significant improvement in the optics.
