The rules and gameplay are solid and fun HOWEVER if your considering buying relic knights for the pleasure of painting id advise against it the models are much smaller than they appear in pictures and the physical detail is lacking. unless your super skilled at painting most of the small details with vanish under primer and paint. the models did however go together fairly well they have a unique peg and hole shape system. fun for shooting the breeze and basic model building nothing special beyond that.I ended up purchasing a bunch of the models from multiple sellers there all exceptionally priced because i believe there trying to off load product the mixture of bad timing on product release by the parent company of relic knights (between there kickstarter and the full release) shot down there player base. Also the less than desirable quality of the actual miniatures detail and the deceptively small size, (the pictures of the painted minis make them look bigger than they actually are) I don't regret buying an army of them both me and my friend bought a starter box plus expansions. but have decided that only one or two are actually worth painting specifically the Relic Knights them selves. I do plan to play the actual game and get my moneys worth.

A very high-quality manual that offers both insight into the cool and interesting sci-fi/fantasy world of Relic Knights, as well as concise and easy-to-learn rules for the game. Relic Knights is an affordable and fast-paced miniatures game (in comparison to some other miniatures games such as Warhammer 40k.) The game is anime-inspired and quite innovative in its field. This book uses excellent quality glossy paper and is printed with bold, colorful inks. I love it.
