When looking closely at it you can see that the mic is different than a OEM mic. But it pugged right in and worked perfectly as it should. I have had it about a month or so and the quality seems to be fine. For the price and quick shipping, I cannot complain at all. I will buy another one If or when I do end up needing one.

My headset stopped working a few month back in July or June and I tried many different replacement parts like the wire to the head set and the amp it plugs into. It didn't even cross my mind that this part was the broken one. After replacing this peice I have my headset back but with 3 extra feet of wire so my headset won't get pulled off my head anymore

I bought this to replace my broken mic, works great. It's an exact fit/replacement for any Astro a40 or a50 headset.

Microphone returns constant feedback to the headset. Even the slightest movement may create deafening crackling / static. I tried it with and without the A40 TR external ear plates just to see if that was somehow create an incomplete connection but the issue persisted.

Finding a replacement mic that fits my Astros is very irritating so seeing this on Amazon and when it’s really cheap it’s very nice. I suggest buying two of them instead of just one because five years later mine did breakdown.

Plugs straight in like the original and looks the same. Good quality build. Actually picks up my voice better than my last mic but does seem to pick up more background noise than my last mic but this could be some settings rather than the mic itself but I don’t know.

I ordered this replacement mic 2ish years ago and had no problems until recently when it died. I immediately came on here and bought another and it arrived next day. Worked great for 3 weeks but it doesn't work anymore. Also, friends were saying they could barely hear me at times even tho the mic to as almost touching my lips and on the highest open mic threshold. Would like to exchange and try my luck again but I can only return and buy again. Update: Turns out it was not the mic, it was the inline cable I purchased from a different seller. Have updated my stars to reflect that. Mic is great would recommend.
